My mom recently came here and had the absolute displeasure of having an apathetic, dismissive, and completely INCOMPETENT NP, Donna Smith (who got her degree at the "esteemed" University of Pheonix. Barely 733 hrs of clinical supervision is required for that.. 20 weeks to be a primary provider.) Anywho, the incompetent NP, Donna Smith, did not ask pertinant questions, did not do a thorough exam, but dont worry, she documented that she did. My mother has a heart murmur that EVERY doctor for 5 years has easily heard. You know who somehow didnt hear it? The incompetent Donna Smith. My mother was wheezing and was short of breath. You wanna know what Donna documented? "No signs of distress. Negative for shortness of breath." My mom had nonstop sputum, Donna Documented that there was none. My mom was already taking the max dose of a medication Rx by her physician for SLN, the incompetent Donna, obviously didnt look at the provided list of medications, and prescribed an ADDITIONAL 200mg of that medication, which would have put her 33% over the maximum FDA approved dosage amount.
My mother already has a heart murmur, and that extra dosage significantly increases the risk of abnormal heart rhythms and cardiac arrest, Donna Smith's incompetence could have killed my mother. The list goes on for the things that this inept, apathetic, incompetent NP, Donna Smth, didnt do correctly and didnt follow basic human decency, let alone basic bedside exam protocol. I fear for anyone with more than a simple cold who comes into contact with this incompetent provider. The physician overseeing her should also fear for his license if he's signing off on her work. We are looking at all options to address this incompetence, especially making sure that the inevitable fraudulent billing that Donna has done for an exam she...
Read moreHorrible treatment from every medical "professional" I interacted with. I went in for a shoulder xray after an accident, was told i had a fracture and referred to an orthopedic surgeon. I was never shown my xrays or told the severity of the injury despite me asking multiple times. They implied it was minor but when i asked for details they would change the subject. The doctor okay'd me to return to work 3 days later and said to keep my arm in a sling whenever possible. I made it very clear to the doctor i didnt have insurance at the time and an orthopedic surgeon is out of the question. About 2 months later i had to go on medical leave from work over this injury and returned to urgent care for a note to return to work after the leave. This time a different doctor looked at my arm, said it was healing well, but refused to write a note to return to work. Called me a liar when i told her the previous doctor said i could return after 3 days. When i said i have a note to prove it she said "well i wasnt there." This time i finally see my xrays and the bone is almost broken in half. This information was kept from me on the first visit and played off like a small crack in the bone. By now its mostly healed and back to "normal" but the doctor refused anything without me seeing a specialist first. I was charged 130$ to have a "doctor" look at my arm, tell me its fine, and call me a liar. They almost cost me my job over an injury they deemed minor enough to work on just 3 days after it happened. I paid 18$ for a sling on my first visit and now im getting hit with an additional bill of 121$ for the sling that i already paid for. Im disgusted with how i was treated by these people and will never go back. They dont care about you or whats wrong with you, only your money. Looking into legal options over the withheld...
Read moreI am a I snowbird from Wisconsin and do not have regular doctors out in Cochella Valley. I became very ill and needed medical attention. So I went to the Eisenhower Urgent Care Rancho Mirage. I was seen within 15 minutes and was quite surprised at the professionalism and concern that the staff showed me regarding my health. The medical assistant was OUTSTANDING. Dr. Guy saw me and treated me for my acute sintuitis and bronchitis. She answered all my questions and showed great concern for my recovery. However, she went above and beyond in one question that she asked me as she was leaving the room. She turned and said "are you taking eloquis?" I said "yes, ma'am. I am," and she replied "never, ever take Paxlovid for covid. The combination of those 2 drugs will have significant health consequences for you."
I have been on eloquis for 6 years. And I have to say in all that time, no one has ever told me to avoid. Paxlovid because of severe consequences. I am so grateful that she gave me that information. Because as covid becomes more and more prevelent in the realm of respiratory diseases, it is quite likely that one day I could be prescribed that drug. I thanked her profusely and said I had not been informed of the dire consequences of that drug combination and actually said to her, "You may have saved my life. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Dr. Guy for your outstanding...
