Ridiculous Donations Process: I cleaned, checked photographed and emailed accurate descriptions of all the items I intended to donate and these were checked with the staff and approved. After filling my van with the approved items I drove to Habitat only to have an elderly person interrogate me on every nail gun, saw and box of fasteners. I'm sure this person had no idea what any of the items were, but she seemed to enjoy arguing with people. I wouldn't have minded this as much if I hadn't wasted time photographing and describing each and every item. I wouldn't have minded as much if I hadn't worked for Habitat in another metro area doing demo work on row houses. But I have donated literally tons of building supplies and thousands of dollars in cash to Habitat over the last twenty years and I know building supplies come in handy building houses. I will take my donations and cash elsewhere...
