I just got back from a quiet lunch here. Iām very happy I stopped by. I had a chicken kabob pita sandwich and an order of hummus. Just great! The hummus was seasoned well and served with diced tomato, green olives and steaming pita bread. Absolutely blows away the stuff you can buy at your local grocery store. Next was the chicken kabob pita. Once I unwrapped this sandwich I didnāt even want to let go of it! Grilled, spiced small dice of chicken in a soft pita with lettuce and this glorious garlicky āwhite sauceā that I would like to make into perfume! Iām now making an appointment with my dentist to have another mouth installed to eat this food faster! (My wife says the mouth I have is already āone too manyā!) this food can be paired with fries and soda. I avoided this option-and I most always do. Food like this is REAL FOOD! You feel more satisfied after eating it and therefore you can eat less. FYI-the food I ordered here is more than one needs for a meal. Share the hummus. Want a vegetarian option? Order the hummus with a salad (mine would be Greek with feta cheese). Eat some salad but save some to put on the pita with the hummusā-yum! There is room for about 20 diners in this small casual eatery.
There is only one thing you need after a meal here...... ........a nap!
This is one of three similar styled restaurants in this neighborhood I have wanted to try. Iām trying to get to Alev near Brick 46 and another kabob place just east of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt is a shame that AFGANI FOOD is prepared by non afgani people!!!!! A total waste of money, taste and atmosphere. I ordered basmati rice with carrots and raisins and falafel. Rice: It came brown not white, it was totally flavorless, on top 5 carrot microscopic pieces and 4 raisins. Falafel: It looked green but once in your mouth it tasted like bread. I took a close up look and they were pieces of bread fried with some green spice to look green. Real Afgani Falafel made by Afgani people are made like this:
š¦š« Afghan Falafel Base Ingredient: Usually chickpeas, though some variations might mix in fava beans. Seasonings: Uses South-Central Asian spices like coriander, cumin, garlic, onion, and sometimes turmeric or curry-like spices. Herbs: May include cilantro and parsley, but less dominant than in other styles. Texture & Taste: Often slightly denser and spicier than Egyptian falafel. Serving Style: Commonly served with naan, chutneys, or spicy sauces, rather than pita or tahini-heavy dressings.
The served falafel I just tried but did not eat them have nothing to do with the above description. If you are missing food like back home, do yourself a favor and NEVER consider to go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSummary: LOVE Kebab Paradise! They don't disappoint! I usually go for their rice platters. Chicken or lamb gyro are yummy options! Don't forget to ask for extra white and hot sauce!!
Kebab Paradise is great and really hits the spot when I'm craving chicken and rice halal! They give decent portions for their prices and I almost always have leftovers to enjoy for the next meal. Like I mentioned, I usually go for their platters with rice. I highly recommend their chicken or lamb gyro to go along with the platters, they're phenomenal! You'll see raisins in the platter but trust me, the sweetness from the raisins really ties the flavors together.
