Absolutely devastated by my last visit. This is usually my go to movie theater for new releases mostly due to AMC Stub A-list or other discount programs like the early showing discount. Unfortunately I might need to reconsider going forward me and my roommate recently went to attend Travis Scotts experimental film Circus Maximus the tickets alone were $25 each part of the experience was supposed to be ticket buyers receiving an exclusive "Cactus Jack" branded T-shirt to commemorate the film. I don't know what happened but I guess this theater just didn't get the shirts or so I am told by one of the employees that went to "check in the back for the shirts"??? Yet your theater had the audacity to charge $25 a ticket for what was essentially an hour and thirty minutes of Travis Scott music videos in total I spent $90 total after taxes for just two people some popcorn and a soda. I was about to let the whole shirt thing slide because if I really want a Utopia themed shirt I could just grab one from Travis site but the theater was absolutely disgusting the floors were sticky and the theater looked like it wasn't cleaned from the movie prior which just killed the entire mood of this being a premium artistic film project instead it just felt like cheap seats I would expect at the $3 theater in Sioux Falls overall not the quality I expect from a AMC...
Read moreOutdated theater. Service was slow, one ticket issuing agent. The area for concessions is awkwardly designed, and where the line ends, they call out for Premiere customers (their members) to come on down and cut the line, after you've waited ten minutes in line already, and they have to squeeze past all the other folks at the registers waiting for their orders to get to the end where they are hailed too. They should really just do it on the East end of the counter to avoid this.
Not a fan of the soda machines they have. They have two of those modern dispensers with the hundred plus flavor combinations, and all it does is create a long line as people struggle to find a drink, or struggle to operate it because they've never seen this thing before. The placement of the machines creates a line in a cramped lobby location, which backs up into the concessions line, and the overall lobby creating a chaotic display of people trying to navigate around each other. I accidentally cut to the front of the line because I couldn't identify where or if there was a line.
This theater really does need to be remodeled and updated to a modern theater, and update the lobby to a more...
Read moreI took my 6-year-old to see a PG-rated movie at this theater, expecting a fun and age-appropriate experience. Apparently, the previews before a PG movie come with absolutely no oversight or restrictions whatsoever. To my shock and dismay, the previews they blasted on the screen before the film even started were full-on R-rated trailers—gruesome, terrifying, and completely unsuitable for a young child. My poor son, visibly uncomfortable, turned to me and whispered, "I don’t think I should be watching this". The previews weren’t just mildly scary; they featured graphic violence, disturbing imagery, and blatant adult content, including sexually explicit scenes that no 6-year-old—or frankly, any kid—should ever be exposed to in a setting marketed as family-friendly. I’m beyond disappointed; I’m surprised a theater would be so reckless and indifferent to its audience. Absolutely...
