The place I'm talking about in this review is the birdcage bookstore, located INSIDE the Racing Magpie building. This place is a treasure. It carries many important and popular book titles on Native literature, art and history. It also carries books for children. If you are a fan of the Paul Gobel books, you can find them here. It's a small space, but packed with important gems for the Non-native reader in search information on Native Americans written BY Native Americans. It obviously suits Native Americans as well. The prices are extremely affordable! You can go to Prarie's Edge for the art, but then race back to the Bird Cage bookstore and buy your books from a local, Native American woman owned bookstore.
