J & R Electronics, Inc. — Local services in Rathdrum

We live in a cozy little valley between Blossom Mountain and a large hill; a beautiful spot in Post Falls, overlooking the Spokane Valley, but nearly devoid of any internet services because of blocked signals. Around 12 years ago, I contacted Kelly at J&R Electric (at the time, not Electronic yet).

He came out and determined we had line of site access to the tower on Rathdrum Mountain, 14 miles away to the north. We would be their most remote subscriber, but Kelly went to a lot of trouble to hook us up. Previously we could only get internet via Satellite, which had very limited bandwidth and was a nightmare. That had resulted in my being punished repeatedly by reducing me to dial-up speed for a month at a time, and this at a time when I was struggling to earn my masters degree online. Goodbye Dish!

We have received that kind of kind, caring and personalized service since the beginning. JR Electronics has demonstrated an attitude of conscientious concern for our needs and a real human connection.

Great customer service and internet. I live in a tiny mountain town, work from home and have family that streams content all day long. This was so taxing on my previous internet provider. Switched and my internet is AMAZING!!! I can have my 30+ tabs open, soft phone, etc... while my daughter can do her zoom videos, home schooling, etc..

I cannot compliment their techs (Kevin), customer service, etc...enough. I know I am new to this and I will give an updated review later on, but I am certain it will be the same. Kevin / J&R Electronics set us up for success by explaining everything and even giving us a print out to troubleshoot, should we run into any issues. Extremely professional, respectful, patient with questions and very engaged.

If you're debating on switching to J&R, take the leap. You get excellent speeds on both upload & download along with the customer service of a "family owned business", if that makes sense... It doesn't feel corporate'ish or that your just a number.

We were frustrated with the slow and unreliable internet service provided by the major carrier in Wallace, Idaho, and signed up with J&R Electronics to provide much faster internet service at just over half the cost. The connection has been far more reliable and faster than what we had previously. Also, J&R showed up to do the installation exactly when promised, and took care in the installation to make the equipment as neat unobtrusive as possible. The service has been delivered at the rates promised, with no unexpected increases, and we get advance warnings any time the system needs to be taken down briefly in the middle of the night for upgrades.
