4 Season Sport Shop — Local services in Red Wing

Went in to look for something, when we walked in all the employees just stared and were not friendly. We had never been in before so we were looking around to see where we should go. Eventually one of the employees greeted us and offered to help, and he was very kind. The younger employee at the counter was not very friendly, it looked like he had a friend in and they were too busy talking before we walked in. We were the only customers in the store and the employees were just standing behind the counter. I've worked retail and know it can be stressful, but it was a slow day and they didn't make us feel welcome.

They practice the self imposed rule of not allowing firearm shipments from individuals ('nonlicensees') for a transfer. From an FFL only, meaning the (often times seller) is also charged an FFL fee on their end, likely upping the cost to you. For something that is antigunner gun control in the first place, they have chosen to implement their own gun control.

Well, even while I was trying to coordinate between 4 Season and the seller and seller's FFL, they took me being unaware of this process they claimed was driven by "federal law" as subversion, and refused to do the transfer.

They are anti gun rights, but still want the $$$ from gun sales. Something too common in the metro and...

Great local shop. Pictures seem to be from when items were flying off the shop 2 years ago and supply was challenging. There selection is large and shelves full. Great friendly and helpful people. Stop in and check it out. Always good to start the fishing adventure on a good note. Never hurts to check out the local shops. Plan on taking some time to admire the large collection of mounts.
