Read moreYesterday, we visited 📍Red Wing, MN’s The Pottery Place Historic Center for the first time in years. First, we appreciated the many historical elements of the building that included informational signage, photographs, maintained architecture and Red Wing pottery-related artifacts. Second, we enjoyed exploring the many shops found throughout that included furniture consignment, clothing, hair salon, local artists and tourism related gifts! Lastly, the food—chocolates, a cafe and pizza! We enjoyed a GF pizza while my son indulged on the lunch buffet at local popular hotspot-Godfather’s Pizza. Having grown up in this town...There is a real "Townie" mentality towards anyone perceived as not being from Red Wing. Leave your money and leave. Many coded terms to determine this... "Are you from around here?" and "How long are you staying". The older lady followed us around using pretexts to spy on us...after making large purchases on three different occasions.
