Chavez Market — Local services in Redmond

I googled “best Mexican market” in Central Oregon and Chavez market, followed by Colima came up. Chavez market is is Redmond, so loser to us so we went yesterday afternoon. And wow! Did not disappoint. Great tortilla selection, great meats selection, we got the beef arrachera (amazing!). They also have marinaded meats, including chicken so we’ll try that next time. As for the sauces…four to choose from, we got the creamy green with jalapeños, lime, cilantro SO fresh. They also have takeout rice and beans. Prices are good. Customer service excellent, oh and fresh tamales on Saturdays....

We love Colima market in Bend, but we live in Redmond now, so when the family announced they were opening a location here we were thrilled! Amazing meat selection, good produce (papaya that is actually delicious), delicious homemade salsas and pan dulce. Great selection of dry goods and spices. Do not miss the chocoflan!!! I finally got to order a whole cake (they are always such works of art) and it was amazing! Thank you...

Newest Mexican store in town! Decent prices. Clean. We got carne ranchera $30 and adobada $15. I believe it was about 2 lbs of both. They don’t have a bakery but they did have some bread available. They have a variety of meats and poultry. They also have some vegetables, candy and piñatas! Both people were very nice and polite. Will definitely...
