Conundroom Escape Rooms Willows BP: School of Magic, Crafted, Kids Birthday Parties — Local services in Redmond

Our family booked School of Magic and had a great experience! We were greeted at the door and immediately submerged in an atmosphere of mystery. Without giving out any spoilers, I can say that the puzzle solving starts almost as soon as one enters Conundrum. Once inside the actual room, it was not too easy for us to locate the answers, while at the same time it was not completely out of reach. When needed we were able to seek help from a Magic Hat - I really liked how they were able to craft even that into a theme. We had one previous experience in the different Escape Room, and the hints were given over a loud speaker by a staff member without adding to the theme or atmosphere of a room. What I also appreciated was that we were allowed to take pictures of our family inside the room. Another plus was good scheduling - we did not have to share even the front room with anyone else, which is a definite plus especially with masks mandates being lifted. Overall, we had a wonderful time, with every single one of the family members being able to participate and contribute to the solution. I tried to use the online booking platform on October 23rd, but sadly missed the three-hour booking deadline by 1 min so my payment was not processed. I called and explained the situation to Audrey, who kindly said she would let the folks at the School of Magic know we were going to be coming for the 7:30 room. My boyfriend and I love escape rooms and the reviews for this place seemed great, so we were super excited. We took an uber to the building, but unfortunately when we got there, nobody was there. We rang the doorbell and tried calling the Conundroom line several times, but nobody ever came. After about 25 minutes of waiting around we left. We were really disappointed that it seems like nobody was actually told we were coming, especially as I was visiting from eastern Canada for only a few days and don't get to come out to Washington very often to see him. We did the Crafted Escape Room as a family with our 7and 9 yr old boys. It was just enough to have the kids engaged and be able to participate. There are a few puzzles that required a little bit more help from us adults. It was hard to gauge how easy/hard it would be since this is our first kid-friendly escape room, and it was easy, but harder than I thought it would be. A lot of fun, and the gamemaster was super nice and helpful when we got stuck :) The kids are excited to start reading the Harry Potter books so we can do the Magic Room next time! The only negative is that we only got a receipt after we purchased.
