Geek Geek Nerd Nerd — Local services in Redmond

Am spending some work-related time in the Bend area and was missing my local comic shop (for both new books and scrounging for good deals on back issues and keys). Went to a bookstore in Bend and asked if there was a comic shop anywhere nearby that had a good selection of back issues and was told "Geek Geek Nerd Nerd" was the place to go. I had never been to Redmond before, and was a little surprised to find Geek Geek Nerd Nerd in a little old-school collection of shops and buildings in an antique mall location. Geek Geek Nerd Nerd looks tiny from the outside, and it isn't a huge space, but holy mother of god, they have a LOT of stuff. I spent about an hour leafing through some back issue boxes which was super fun (a little tricky because the books weren't in alphabetical order so I had to look at every single book to see what it was, price, grade, etc.) I got a TON of back issues (some bronze and copper, a few modern) for a very reasonable price. I always have my "Comics Price Guide" app on when I'm in a new comic shop, and checking on the app was clear that the books were thoughtfully priced and completely reasonable. Found a bunch of stuff that I haven't seen in my Portland area shops (ie...a Bill Sienkiewicz New Mutants #26 in EXCELLENT condition) along with a ton of $1 X-Force and X-Factor issues that I needed to help back fill. Tons of books, very welcoming space, staff seemed super helpful and cool. Will definitely be back (probably more than my wallet...

Don't recommend. Try to contact since they where admin of a group I was in and got blocked from them & the page. Can't follow even their own rules on their page which makes one wonder what kind of store they are running 🤷🏻‍♀️

See their response Did not try to communicate with me in anyway and decided to "ban" me cause I called out some of their upstanding members. Ummm last time I checked you don't know my financial situation nor live in my house. I tried to reach out to do a thing called communication but too much of a snob to even try to consider my point of view. Bullying like your members did was ridiculous especially when you broke your own rule on everyone being safe. Not once did any admin reach out to me of any issues. Making fun of how someone has something posted is not cool, cause guess what if I don't agree with a price, I don't make fun of that individual as an adult I use the scroll on feature. So glad to not be a part of a group that can't practice...

We went here a few weeks ago with my son for some Pokémon cards. They had a great selection of very reasonably priced cards (especially for my son who is just getting into the hobby). The staff were amazing and even gave my son some free Japanese Pokémon card (he thought they were the coolest thing in the world). We've been here many times and each time there are a ton of fun things to explore in here and the staff are always top notch. 10/10 would...
