Most unprofessional night I've ever had at blacksmith public house. Last night, 4/12 there was a precious Byrd concert that I showed up to enjoy about halfway through the set. Pretty quickly upon arrival I noted the two security guards walking around constantly and being very intimidating, and I even saw the taller guard grab multiple women's waists as he walked b y them even though it was unnecessary. The two guard proceeded to target me and my friend about being in the way even though we weren't and other people had been standing there before us and even came and stood near us and against the equipment and nothing was said to them. The guard were also very cordial with my guy friend, but rude and inappropriate with me as a young woman. We moved to a different area in the middle of the crowd to get away from the bar and the tall security guard still proceeded to walk right next to me when there was plenty of room and grab my hip and run his hand along my lower back to ""move me out of his way"" when he could've tapped my shoulder or said something to me. I proceeded to have a panic attack because the whole interaction made me feel uncomfortable and targeted. The manager was very unprofessional with the whole scenario and told me I was overthinking it and making it a bigger deal than it needed to be even though all I did was walk myself to the bathroom quietly. After the manager talked to the guard that touched me, he proceeded to come have a nice conversation with my guy friend about what was going on and when I tried to tell him I just wanted to mind my business and watch the concert he started screaming at me to "go over there" while pointing his finger in my face, mind you this guys a whole foot taller than me. The whole conversation after that was unprofessional and both guards were telling me different stories on what was happening. I've always loved to go to blacksmith but I can say confidently that I will never be returning, especially not for any...
Read moreThis place has the loudest music inside a building. No need for that! Talked with the sound-guy, who was super nice, and we were told it is how the owners like it. Terrible to see people get wasted here that have their little kids with them. Why do they allow minors in here after a certain time, especially with live music??? The outside area leaves a lot to be desired. Crappy tables. Hardly any shade. Food trucks are fine, but I didn't leave any stars for them as they are separate establishments. Miss Kilted Kitchen! The "security guards" are a joke and just want to touch women with a free pass. My husband was ready to throw hands when he saw two of them feeling up the younger women. Gross. Liked it when they had a coffee bar but now it is just some sushi place. People that bring their kids here: why don't you AT LEAST have noise cancelling headphones on your children?? Why do you get drunk and then just drive...
Read moreUsed to be our favorite place to hang out. The food trucks are still OK. But the Public House is no longer fun. The drink prices have gone up and the music is so loud that even after plugging my ears and standing outside it was still intolerable. I finally ventured inside just long enough to order a 12 oz can of cider. It was so loud I didn't even hear the amount I was paying for the drink. I was shocked later to see the charge on my bank statement. $8.00! Just because they are getting popular does not mean they need to ruin people's hearing and rip them off on drink prices. We will never be going back inside and we for SURE will never be buying drinks there again. I'm sure they are going to leave some comment trying to defend themselves and justify their actions but I'm still stand...
