I am from California and have never been to the store. A friend recommended me this place for saddlebags and leather products. I was looking for a small triangular saddlebag for my rigid chopper. Around here the options are limited, either poor quality products made in China or locally made products that cost an arm and a leg.
I called the store and talked to the owner, Harry. He took the time to answer all my questions. I was skeptical because his prices sounded too good and thought that I was going to get some sub-par Chinese made saddlebag. I decided to take a chance. The saddlebag arrived within a week, and I was surprised to find a saddlebag that was way, way better than I expected. The material is strong and has absolutely no blemishes. The craftsmanship is better than anything I have seen around here, and for a fraction of the cost.
Second transaction. Two weeks ago I started looking for a leather vest. I went to a local store in Silicon Valley that is famous for making their own leather vests and jackets. The leather was nice, but their prices were simply not permissive. Again, I decided to try Bikers Outfitters. I was unsure about buying from them simply because of possible fitting issues. Once again, Harry was very helpful; he told me that he could send me the vest, and if it did not work, he would take it back and send me another one.
Luckily for me, I did not need to send it back. The vest was the right fit. The leather is thick, but also comfortable and soft.
I am glad my friend turned me into Bikers Outfitters. I like buying products that are made in America, with pride and quality. I also enjoy supporting family businesses, such as this one. At the same time, I enjoy getting great deals. This place brings it all together.

Read moreConsumer beware. I never write reviews but after my experience I had to at least get my story out. I called this company in late September to stay ahead of the busy season and get my snowblower serviced. Was told it would be $269 + parts for a tune up and they would pick it up and drop it off. When it was ready, I was told the bill was $384 as there was a $75 pickup/delivery charge that I was not told about in my initial phone call. When the truck showed up, there was a huge banner on the trailer (pic attached) for “free pickup/delivery (Before first snowfall and new customers only) I am qualified for both, that in addition to they never told me about this charge, I thought my phone call to them should be straight forward. Called and talked to the owner, Harry. Harry said all his employees tell each customer of the pickup fee and since I called two weeks before the promo I was not qualified. The conversation never got confrontational, but I could not believe how short sighted this decision was. After expressing my disbelief Harry offered to refund me half of the delivery which of course is a good gesture, but again to lose future business over the other half was ridiculous. Harry then doubled down on his statement and said, “Not to call you a liar” but that all employees tell the customers about the pickup fee. It’s one thing to stick up for your employee, but this was in fact calling me a liar. Either way, I would highly recommend to do business elsewhere and simply google “snow blower tune up in my area” to find someone for half the price and not be disrespectful to a new customer that just paid $400 to have their snow...
Read moreWow - where do I begin?? I had my Honda brought into the shop on Wednesday May 30th due to a wire malfunction that caused my battery to catch fire and fry some wires. A simple one-hour Diagnosis to get to my insurance company? Nope, now its going on over 2 weeks and they still haven't even looked at it...
Also Melissa (who supposedly scheduled the pick-up of my vehicle) didn't even know that my bike was in her shop when I called to get a status report on it. I understand that people are busy - but it doesn't exactly inspire confidence when the shop: Can't even identify if they even have possession of your vehicle Said "well when working with insurance companies, it takes time to do these things" (Justin - Mechanic, Biker Outfitters)
Meanwhile my insurance company is calling me up asking me the status of my bike, and really scratching their head as to why they can't go forward with the estimate because the shop hasn't gotten around to it.
Thankfully Jay over at Madhouse Motors in Allston is on it, and they have already scheduled the diagnostic testing my insurance company needs - even though they are "very busy as well".
Melissa (shop rep) wondered why I was angry at them? HMMM could be that you have had my vehicle for close to three weeks, and nothing got done.
I wouldn't take my bike here if my life depended on it - and my life does depend on them doing as good of a job as they can. Which I have zero confidence in.
Their retail shop is overpriced, I would go online and buy the same stuff from online retailers cheaper. Also their mechanics are trash, and their customer service is...
