Barron County Fairgrounds — Local services in Rice Lake

To rebut a couple of other comments: if you think this fair is "lame", I'm not sure what you are comparing it to. It is definitely one of the best small County Fairs I've been to. As to the food being pricey, go to the local stands: Farmers and 4H Leaders and one other I cant recall the name of... Corn dog for $2.50, cheese curds for $4, glass of milk for 25¢, etc. I don't call that pricey. Just don't go to the traveling vendors (whose prices are about double those of the locals). One of the lamest fairs around!!! Admission into fairgrounds is not bad. But the cost of games and the rides and food and drinks are to high priced. Sign on ticket booth said most rides are 3 tickets-they were mostly 4 tickets.
