NEVER Again. Myself nor my Wife Will EVER do business with bodis again. Extremely unprofessional, unpleasant, and rude. Namely- Tammy
I had recommended my wife to them as we had done minor business with them in the past. Her wedding ring needed to be repaired. I called bodis to get an estimate and set up for my wife to drop off her ring. I was informed that they wouldn't have an estimate until after they saw the ring themselves. No big deal. They took my name and number and my wife's name. A few days later my wife dropped off the ring.
Things were ok up to this point. We were told it would be about 2 weeks initially and $250-$275 for the repairs. We agreed and then proceeded to wait as expected. By the start of week 3 my wife had me call them. I was informed it should be done by the end if the week. By week 4 I called them myself as it was supposed to be done. It was not. I was again told by the end of the week.
Week 5. Wednesday. I called them once again at the distress of my wife. I was informed that it was in the owners finishing box but that it should be ready for pickup that afternoon. I asked what the final price was and she happily told me that it was $250. I said ok, thank you, my wife will be in on her next day off.
Today. Friday. 2 days after they said it was ready for pickup and 3 weeks past what they initially told us I get a distressing phone call from my wife. "They LOST my ring" and sent her away saying once Tammy returned she would find it and giver her a call.
I promptly called and Anita informed me that Tammy should know where the ring is and will be back shortly. I asked that once Tammy gets back that she gives me a call so that I can talk to her. Anita said she would let her know.
About 5 minutes later my wife calls me to tell me they found the ring. We hung up and I waited a few more minutes for a return call. It never came. I called them back and was greeted with a hesitant hello from Tammy. I expressed my dissatisfaction with how this was handled and all she had to give me was excuses.
I understand that this is a small operation. I understand that you are understaffed. I understand that mistakes can be made, but not to this degree. She then said they had made 2 accounts for us. 1 for me and one for my wife in which they misspelled our last name. My name was already on file for reference spelled correctly. They misplaced the ring under the wrong name.
Tammy was rude throughout our entire conversation in which I stayed civil.
My wife returns to pick up her ring and calls me after. Tammy was rude to her as well and was mocking the conversation that she had with me over the phone just 15 minutes prior to my wife's face.
She then said the total was $268. I was told $250 on Wednesday, 2 days prior. My wife came with $260 in cash expecting $10 back and when Tammy saw that she said she'll take $260 and let the $8 slide. Let the $8 slide when the final price as told to me BY HER ON WEDNESDAY was $250. My wife payed and left before she came unglued on this overly disrespectful woman.
For a "family owned" company that has been in business so long I would expect a higher degree of customer care and hospitality. I would also expect a higher degree of care for something like a wedding ring that was entrusted to their care.
Lastly. I would greatly expect that the person who is handling the exchange with customers not be rude and snutty. They need to understand that when a customer is RIGHTFULLY upset that it is not time for her to hop on her high horse and mock them or their significant other for mistakes that THE BUISSNESS themselves has made.
-side note- Anita, I apologize if I was at all rude to you. I understand that you were doing your best.
Tammy. 3 words for you. Rude Unprofessional Disrespectful
Owner. The one conversation I had with you was pleasant and informative. I only wish that I had been dealing with you throughout this transaction. Perhaps this review would have gone differently and shown a better light on...
Read moreWill never, ever do business here again. My family has been doing business here for 35+ years. Tried to give them the chance to make it right and us part ways without doing this but they refused to refund and I am NOT leaving my ring again. Brought my ring in August of 2023 to get my wedding band soldered onto my ring. Was called roughly a month later and was told that my crown was cracked and that some small diamonds needed to be repronged. They upsold me to a platinum crown due to being stronger. I gave the go ahead. Couple months go by, I called to check on it. Was not done but should be done the following week as the crown had just came in. Got the call two weeks later was done. Great! Went to pickup, my new crown and center diamond are now diagonal and follow an accent band rather then being centered how it was. I explained how it was not correct and not how I left it. He told me he would fix it and give a call. I was upset only because he obviously knew how the diamond and crown were supposed to be as that was all intact when it was brought it. But, I am an understanding person in customer service so I get it. Things happen! In March I called before we went on vacation, the lady that answered could not find my ring and was told I would get a call back. Never got that call back. Called again in April and left a voicemail. Never heard anything back. In July I got a call asking if I was going to pickup my ring as it had now been put in the archives I later find out. I told the lady I work normal business hours and will get in as soon as I can. My husband works in Rice Lake and I was hesitant to send him in to pick up with the issues that I had the first time. But since It wasn't working out for me to get to Rice Lake I decided it needed to be picked up and called them to arrange. When I called to let them know he was coming, not me. I asked the lady to examine the ring to make sure the center diamond was straight, she said yes it is. Husband went in, paid in cash, brought me my ring. Crooked. Not alot, but enough. Bottom left prong of my emerald cut was lower than the right. I wasn't bringing it back. I was gonna live with it. Over it. Until yesterday, when my center diamond fell out. I had my wedding ring a week and a half and my diamond falls out. I called them, left a message. No call back. I call again towards the end of the day and get the manager. I explain calmly what happened and tell her politely that I would like a refund and to part ways and leave it at that. She said she would gather the info, talk with the owner and one of them would call in the morning. I told her my husband will bring the ring and diamond in to show them after work. No call to me. He brought the ring and and was told no refund would be made because I damaged one of the ever so strong platinum crown prongs in the week and a half I had it. But they would fix it for me if I left it. Bad business. Bad follow up. Bad customer service. Bad repair...
Read moreMy wife lost the diamond in her wedding ring when the prong broke. She took it to a chain jewelry store and they said it couldn't be fixed. I took the ring to Diamond Designs and they said they could fix it and have it done in 10 days. Not only did they put new prongs on the ring, they cleaned the wedding band and helped me pick out a new diamond. They finished the ring in 10 days and it looked like brand new. I surprised my wife with the ring and she was estatic. The cost was very reasonable and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. We will be doing more business with Diamond Designs in the future and will recommend them to...
