Tipsy Tavern — Restaurant in Rice Lake

This WAS a wonderful place to go with good food, good friends, good bartenders and no drama. However, just recently, there are new owners. With no warning at all, they got rid of the Manager Who was there for years and doing a great job. That was February 12, 2025. Sunday, March 16, 2025 now the new owners accused one of the better bartenders of “palming”money and being a thief. That bartender chose to walk out and all the other employees chose to follow her along with the Cook and DJ. I am writing this review just so you know what type of a place you are walking in to. Yes, they will have alcohol. Yes, they will have food but no morals and no idea of what they’re doing including cleaning their fryers with gasoline. My experience started out great. We came out for my friends birthday and everyone had their IDs checked my friend informed them already that he only wanted food so they never had an issue with it and we were abruptly confronted about one of my friends not having an ID, which he was not drinking at all, we had to stop playing our dart games that we had already paid, for we had to leave our food on the tables and pack up what we could and leave fast which I think is very disrespectful because he wasn’t drinking and until they except people of color in this establishment I think that you guys should reevaluate the way you run your company. Still reaching. S.S.D.D. Not really much of a family grill or a "cool" place to unwind. That was what I was led to believe. If you are an alcoholic bar-fly this is the place for you. On the upside; so far the food was edible. Same ole same ole. You can't improve if you don't change the model. Every place you go, in Rice Lake, is the same with the same regulars.
