My first time here. Employees are rude. When I came and grabbed the cart they yelled at me that I had to get the cart from outside. I went outside and learnt that I had to put quarter that I didn't have. So I went inside without cart and just grab few items. When I waited in line to pay, the register staff keep talking to the customer and didn't acknowledge me. He even let a guy pass in front of me!! I finally bought plastic bag, and this register guy just rush to gave my things and the plastic bags in a small area where they almost fell down and I had not even finish putting my change in my wallet, not yet starting putting my things in the bag.. he already moved to the next customer. The only thing I gave star because there was one lady employee that care enough to explain to a first timer like me about the rule to shop here and what you can't get here. No more Aldi for me. Not that much...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is 5 stars at savings. They have re-done the produce area and it looks a lot better. Like their gluten free hamburger buns and raisin bread. Also their sliced swiss and cheddar cheese, and salad kits. For you orange juice lovers, theirs is some of the best. Generally speaking, their brands are equivalent to the ones we grew up on, just a bunch cheaper. Bring your own bags and a quarter for a cart (you get it back when you return the cart to its proper place). Update. I like their raisin almond honey granola. Their produce quality has improved so I'm buying lots of celery, lettuce, and mushrooms. I noticed they have some produce that is not bagged. I like that, particularly items that I might not use a full bag. Avocados, limes, and peppers. Wish they would have lemons also. No way I can use 6 lemons at a time, end up throwing some in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAldi really does have lower prices on many items but nobody has the lowest price on everything. The one thing that is annoying with Aldi is their inconsistency. The salmon patties that you bought last week may not be there again for another 6 months. Same thing for several other items. Also some of their items are better than the original and some are worse. I love their club crackers and won't even eat the name brand anymore. However, I don't like their version of Ritz crackers. Ended up throwing away an entire box. It's trial and error to find what you like there and learn what is cheaper there than other places. But isn't that also true of most things in life?
Bring a quarter so you can get a basket. You'll get your quarter back when you return the basket. And be sure to bring...
