El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Richardson

Fast friendly service. Loved seeing the chicken on the flame grill right there in front of me. I've been several times already and have never been disappointed in the size portions or quality of the the food. I had been given several coupons and I shared them with others in line and they ended up getting bigger meals than they were going to get made them very happy. I even gave out coupons while at another restaurant when they said they have never tried El Pollo Loco. While I was there the other day I heard a couple bragging to one of the employees how good the new Handmade Chicken Taquitos and the Chicken Tacos al Carbon were. I was standing there getting my drink and I asked them to repeat what meal they were bragging about and they told me that I really need to try them. I think I will the next time I visit because I just received a coupon for them. For $5 you get one of the all new Craveable Combos includes chips and a small drink. The other two dishes are a Loco Burrito and Grilled Chicken Loco Salad. Can't wait to try them. The chicken dinner got a thumbs up from my 19 year old picky cat he was trying to get into the box before I could get it open. I've never seen him act that way with any other chicken dinners I've brought home in the past. So I guess I'll have to bring home an extra piece of chicken for him from now on. The person who took my order, Alvin, was very patient, and answered all my questions. I also visited with the manager Gloria. Everyone was courteous & professional. I had the 4PC Chicken meal with 2 Thighs & 2 Legs. My 2 sides were Broccoli, and Mac & Cheese. It also came with 2 small Loco Salads, choice of corn or flour tortillas, 2 Avo. Salsa, 2 Salsa Fresca, and 2 Churros. The food was very tasty. I was very hungry. I ate everything. The Rica Horchata was good. I prefer it on ice. UPDATE: FEB. 17 - This time Andrew took my order, & Iris was the manager. Special requests do not upset them. The service was quick, and my order was accurate. The food again was delicious. The restaurant was clean. Consistently good in everything related to this location! I'll be back! UPDATE: MAR. 27 - Everything was wonderful! UPDATE: APRIL 8 - Jeffrey took my 2 orders. Got my mobile order and the chicken was dry and hard around the edges. Then when I ordered , the picture of the burrito had such a minute amount of rice I didn't even notice, but when I cut it in half.... It was a pure rice burrito. I called from the same place as I was handed the food, spoke to the manager, she offered to remake my order... She apparently didn't see I asked for no guacamole because halfway down I see green. Sucks because it was after I called and thanked her because it was much better until it wasn't again... I chalked it up to the game. I won't go back there again. The fast food joints just be giving us trash for our money.. you have to be troubled and inconvenienced to maybe get a product near what you pay.. and still it never is quality it seems.
