FOOD INSTAGRAM: @northtx.gemz •••• 🍒 WHAT THEY’RE KNOWN FOR: Vietnamese street food, snacks, and desserts! 🍒 THE VIBE: oriental decorations, they try to emulate a scene of you were on a street with vendors back in Vietnam! 🍒 PRICE: ~$12 🍒 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! •••• Overall Rating: 9/10 After at eating at Pho Bac, a super popular pho place that went viral, we stumbled across this place next door for dessert! My mom got the smashed avocado drink/dessert which was actually super good and it had crystal boba that had a great snap to it. I loved hers more than mine. I really liked my grass jelly dessert it had a really strong underlying banana or some herbal flavor that was overpowering but overall I liked my sweet treat too. They have a huge menu and they have actual authentic food and not just snacks. There’s a ton of different Vietnamese street snacks to choose from and the employees are very sweet. I would definitely come back to try...

After seeing this place on social media, I decided to give Snackie Viet a visit but ultimately I left a bit disappointed by my experience. The food is “mid” tier at best, with the Cheese Shaking Fries being my least favorite item that I tried. The fries were pretty dry and not really seasoned at all, they tasted like McDonald’s fries but with less seasoning and flavor, and powdered cheese dumped on top. I also tried the rice paper rolls which were ok, but didn’t have much flavor either and were really sticky and difficult to eat (a lot of them were stuck together on the plate). By far my favorite item was the Garlic Fried Pork Belly rice, as the rice was pretty flavorful and the pork belly was decent. The service was pretty fast, but the water cups they give are very small so I frequently had to get refills. I think overall I probably won’t come...

Cute? Yes. Transported straight into Saigon? Yes. Good? Mama says otherwise.

Customer service was good with letting us know some recommendations and if specific food included X and X.

There was free self serve tea at the side.

The Sticky rice dish with meat was okay. Not too heavy to eat. Rice was on the dry side.

She also got a soup dish and said it was missing different typical toppings.

She got the grass jelly drink and she said it was one dimensional. I agree.

The last snack I got was the Flan, it came with tons of different toppings and they were all good and chewy. Mom Approved. I actually enjoy this a lot.

Menu once you scan it has good pictures. Prices were a bit high for a "snack" place. We may just not be...

It was our first time here. My wife and I ordered the snacks. I agree with some of the other reviewers. The price versus the quanity wasn't worth it. Overpriced. Most of the snackie items had the same seasoning, so it got boring quickly. One of the items was the fish ball w/ sausage, which was $5.95. The sausage literally tasted like the Franks Hotdog (cheap hotdogs), disappointing that it wasn't sausage. It was a fun experience, but I don't think I'll be back for the snacks. We will be back to try their entrées. I rate it a 3/5. Service was good, but the quanity versus price was not worth it.
