Peles Salon Johnstown — Local services in Richland Township

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A MORE MODERN SALON, THIS IS THE PLACE. I AM ORIG FROM JTOWN BUT MOVED AWAY FOR 8 YRS. WHEN I CAME BACK I WAS IN DESPARATE NEED OF A SALON TO GO TO HERE IN OWN. jOHNSTOWN IS FULL OF SALONS CATERED TO MOST OF THE LOCAL POPULATION (NOT YOUNG PEOPLE) THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE. WHILE THEY HAVE OLDER CLIENELE AS WELL, THEY DEF KNOW WHATS UP WHEN IT COMES TO TRENDS AND KEEPING UP WITH BIG CITY SALON STANDARDS!!! I WAS THRILLED TO SEE THIS SALON IS AN AVEDA SALON MEANING THEY ONLY USE AVEDA PRODUCTS. UPON ARRIVING FOR MY APPT, THEY GAVE ME A THOROUGH TOUR AND EXPLANATION OF ALL THEIR SERVICES. THEN ASHLEY, WHO WAS MY ASSIGNED STYLIST, PATIENTLY LISTENED TO WHAT I WANTED AND LOOKED AT ALL THE PICTURES I HAD TO SHOW HER. SHE DID A SPECTACULAR JOB. I WAS MORE THAN PLEASED! IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. THE PRICE MAY BE A LIL HIGH FOR A JOHNSTOWNER, BUT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A QUALITY SERVICE SALON, AND DON'T MIND PAYING A FEW DOLLARS MORE THAN SAY, JCPENNY SALON, THEN THIS IS IT. I AM USED TO PAYING NO LESS THAN $100 FOR A CUT AND COLOR. i PAID $113 PLUS TIP. I WAS SO HAPPY WITH THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE AND RESULT THAT I WOULD HAVE PAID MORE HAD THEY CHARGED MORE LOL. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. I COLOR MY HAIR A LOT. IN MY 28 YEARS OF LIVING I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE SATISFIED. WHEN I WASHED MY HAIR THIS MORNING, IT WAS THE 1ST TIME EVER, I HAVE NOT HAD A BUNCH OF COLOR IN THE BOTTOM OF MY SHOWER. AVEDA PRODUCTS ARE LEGIT, AND WHEN THEY SAY THEY ARE MOSTLY FADE-PROOF...THEY MEAN IT!!!! I LOVE PELES...

The best there is, plain and simple. I cannot say enough positive things about Jesse and his team! I live in Washington, D.C. and had the absolute worst experience at a high-end salon in DC -- they completely destroyed my hair, turning it orange, completely orange. I was panicked and immediately called Peles Salon for their first available because it was an emergency. I called off of work and drove three and a half hours just to get in with Jesse and he truly saved my hair. A complete miracle worker!!!

Check out the pictures on yelp -- you will be amazed (just look for the girl with harsh orange hair, it isn't hard to miss - I promise!) Never will I EVER go anywhere else -- every time I do I regret it and I always come running back to Peles Salon. They care about their customers and it shows. I have lived in DC, NYC and SF and I have yet to find another salon with the skills, knowledge and care that you will find at Peles Salon! They truly know about hair and there is no one more talented. I will happily drive the 3.5 hours just to get my hair done by Jesse and his team!

I have to give a HUGE thanks to Jesse because my hair was truly a disaster; between the bleach and "rose gold orange" toner that this DC salon used - I didn't think it was salvageable and you did it!!! You are the ABSOLUTE BEST this industry has to offer....

I took a photo in of the cut that I wanted. I also had a photo of me with the cut. She was afraid to "take too much off" to make it look like the photo. I had this cut done several times by another place and had no problems. I couldn't go to my normal place. Instead of cutting how I wanted and how I knew it could be cut She kept explaining why she couldn't cut it a specific length or way. I didn't want her opinion. I just wanted it cut that specific way. 30 minutes went by. She said she was done. She didn't ask me if i wanted it shorter or any specifics. I even told her which side I wanted it parted on. Which apparently she forgot. I told her to cut it shorter I said "don't be afraid if You do something I don't like I can easily fix it". She then told me she had another appointment and he was waiting. I didn't make her not follow my instructions. I didn't tell her to just cut the ends off at first. So I came home and cut it myself. It's just easier to pay someone else.

They offered us water or a beverage. Which was different and nice.
