I wish I didnt have to give a star at all. I'm very unhappy from the time we entered the place, to switch from Sprint to Verizon. We went in with intentions of buying new phones, which was great. Then we were told we will get these little pads for free. We really didnt want them, but free? That's great we thought....nice incentive. We were told we could use them on the mobile hotspot on our phone. We even bought accessories for the phones for nearly $400. So we spent quite a bit that day. Alvin told us we would get a military rebate for $100 a piece, and a rebate for $200 a piece for switching from Sprint to Verizon...so total incentives for us both were $600. Not only did we not see incentives, but we returned those pads because we were paying an extra $40 per month for extra lines, and we surely wouldn't have accepted those pads if we had to add money for lines. Alvin said he would take care of it since it was a misunderstanding, and never told us that we would have a cancellation fee of $166 a piece. I'm happy as far as the towers and signal go, no problem there at all, and we both have good phones. But this deceiving the customer, and causing us to pay $400-$500 bills each month is ridiculous. Stop lying to make a buck! That's a terrible business strategy. In three bills and cancellation fees, I've paid nearly $1500 in three months due to the lying, and not seen any rebates that were promised. I have to fight to get Alvin to call us back. I will never use this store again, and word of mouth will not be good. We even went in and gave Alvin a second chance to make things right, but he failed again. When I contacted him about cancellation fee, he said he would take care of it, but never called us back. I'm glad i dont run my business like that....i wouldn't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTwo very bad experiences in this store! If you decide to shop here for services, ask for a breakdown of what you will pay UP FRONT. I have never seen so many hidden charges, and I have been a customer of Verizon for years! We were given incorrect information on TWO phone purchases. Our bill is still messed up, and I have been working with Verizon's customer service phone reps for 2 weeks now to correct the issues. One of our phones had to be ordered, so we discovered some of the problems before we returned to process the second transaction. The sad thing is that we made our expectations clear when we arrived to pick up the second phone, but certain issues still have not been resolved. Going forward, we will use ONLY the corporate Verizon store locations if we decide to stay with the carrier. However, the experiences with this store have changed my opinion about the entire company. Hopefully, Verizon will find a way to gain more control of the independent sales locations. Also, I am sure that it is possible I will get a response to reach out and call this store, and that someone will be happy to help. In advance, I would like to say that I have made those efforts, including filling out a customer service survey (to which no one responded). If this store's leadership was going to take care of things, they would have reached out based on that survey that was sent in two weeks ago. Also, you would think when we returned to pick up my phone, and explained our issues, this store would have gone above and beyond. They did not. I just want other people to be aware, and hopefully this will prevent another customer from going through the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just want to say I do not write reviews very often but my experience was terrible here!
I am under the old 2yr contract and it's coming to an end so I went in to look at upgrading. I do understand that now you pay for the phone and they drop the access line down from $40 to $20/month. With that said, I was just simply explaining to the lady "helping" me that my bill will still go up. My bill would drop down $20 but the phone adds additional $34/month. So that increases my bill $14/month. I understood this going in there so this is not what angered me.
She started off by giving me an attitude because she didn't believe that I felt I got a good deal on my phone even paying the extra $20/month. She continued to explain to me that I was still "paying" for the phone during my 2 year contract due to the extra $20/month access line and saying I was "duped". This was how Verizon had this setup years ago but she made me feel like I was the stupid one for having the 2yr contract! She continued to argue with me which was all a waste of time because it had no relevance to why I was even there. Again, I knew that this is how things worked going into it and was just trying to look at a different phone and see how it affected my plan. Even after we moved on from the debate, I asked her if she had a different phone on display for my wife but they didn't and which she didn't even offer to bring one out.
This was a very awkward and terrible experience. I will NEVER go back to this...
