My mom and uncle were with me and we decided to stop at DQ for blizzards. The 3 of us go inside and wait for almost ten minutes before we speak up and ask if we can place our order. We were certainly frustrated by the time we asked, but did not show it in our tone or otherwise. The young woman's response was "you have the choice to leave if you don't like it". We quickly told her that wasn't the point and that we only wanted to be able to place an order. Then she suggested that we were going to be denied service. My mom had to beg her to stop being unreasonable and take our order. After my mom finished pleading, another young lady took our order. It took way to long for us to get our order and when we did, it was wrong. I was literally shaking trying to hold my composure during this nightmare customer service experience. Anyone in the customer service industry should be given all the grace and patience possible during their work. I kept that in mind during this incident which is what allowed us to wait for so long before speaking and to not act crazy in return when being told to leave for no reason. If they would have even said one word to us during our almost ten minute wait to make an order, it would have made such a huge difference as well. I stopped expecting basic courtesies like this a while back now because times have just changed. With that being said, even with the bar super lowered, this was still a shockingly bad experience.
Bottom line:
Extremely rude employees, terrible and untimely service, poor order accuracy...

Five Years Later: First, let me say I'm posting this angry. I've just dealt with the worst drive thru service I've ever experienced. I've gone to this DQ many times over the years. Management and staff have always been really great and the food as well. I don't know if anything has changed in the last few days, but today was absolutely awful. The gentleman you have working at the drive through at 1:45 pm 5/15/2021 needs to be retrained. He slapped drinks into my hands like he was mad I was there. I ordered lids on my Blizzards (cause you have to) and he got mad when he attempted to hand me a Blizzard without one and I asked him if he would mind putting lids on them all. I'm in a car by myself getting 2 Blizzards and softserve in a cup. I'm not eating it all on the way home.
The 2 cokes were less than 60% full with no ice (is there a shortage of ice I'm not aware of?). There was no bread with the chicken basket. And he didn't want to give me the softserve I ordered. I don't understand why you would take a job that you won't put 100% into. Please help this young man! I hate to see anyone fail and hope this becomes a success. I also hope my future experiences will go back to...
Read moreThis place seems to get slower the more I visit. The staff besides a few are pretty wish washy and act like they don't know what to do. One time I came in and waited nearly two minutes to place my order since the cashiers wanted to act like they did not want to take my order and they were in the back negotiating and arguing like it was a big deal to serve me. I ordered a 6 finger plate with no drink and a cake shake but each time I ordered(this was my third time there) they act like it's hard to to take the drink off and add a shake, I actually had to explain to them myself how to do it twice since I work at a fast food place, but even then that took like a whole minute.
So I ordered and wound up waiting for almost 15 minutes(I had a 30 minute break) and it took me standing up getting ready to ask for a refund before a responsible employee asked me what I ordered and finally handed my food to me. Don't come here unless you're willing to waste at least half an hour waiting.
Also, be wary of an older woman there who works as a cashier, she's very slow, forgetful and will often completely forget to put what you ordered down, like I ordered extra queso cheese dip and she didn't even put...
