DO NOT leave your jewelry with these people to get it cleaned. They will take your jewelry and give you a FAKE item then proceed to tell you that you’re lying... My mom and I were passing through from vacation in Williamsburg and decided to leave 6 pieces of jewelry with them to have them polished since this store is the closest one to where we live. They said our pieces needed to stay with them overnight and that we would have them shipped to us in the middle of the following week. This was on a Saturday. When the following Friday rolled around and our items had still not arrived, I called to get a shipping number so I could check when they were supposed to arrive the person I talked to said “oh, the box is actually sitting right in front of me with a note on it saying there was a delay because one item took longer to clean.” Okay... an inconvenience but I’m not worried about it. The items finally arrive the following week and I get a call from my upset mom saying that something had happened to her Tiffany bracelet that had been passed on to her by a deceased family member. I made the trip home from college that night and was sickened by the PLASTIC bead bracelet that I was met with. My dad contacted the manager of the Richmond Tiffany location and was told that she would “investigate” and call him back later that evening. And shocker: no call. He had to call the store the following day and was told that they sent us the piece we left with them. I could clearly tell what was returned to us was a fake. I wish I could post pictures to show you the Dollar Store quality of the bracelet. After trying to find out what happened to the bracelet for more than a week, my parents gave up because each time they contacted Tiffany’s in Richmond, they were told that they must be mistaken and that nothing had happened. Whether the bracelet was broken, lost, or stolen, there is no reason why my mom should have been told that she was the one lying. Their “resolution” was to send us a return label so we could sent it back to them with nothing in return. No offer to replace the authentic bracelet, no offer to give my mom the amount of money that the bracelet cost. Nothing. Needless to say, we will not be purchasing anything else from Tiffany & Co. anywhere. Take your money to a business who won’t...
Read moreMy husband purchased a necklace for me at this location on February 15, 2018. Exactly 20 days later I am standing in front of my students when my necklace falls to the floor. The next day I call Tiffany's and I was told by an employee that once I walk out of the store NOTHING could be done about it breaking. Management finally comes to the phone and stated that they would send a return envelope to me for it to be sent back to their store. Management then stated that once they received it, they would send a replacement. I have not seen anything from them, nor have I received a phone call or anything! I will never return to any Tiffany's because of this experience. I have many Tiffany pieces that were given to me from family- I will make sure that they also know not to purchase from them either. Also, my students have asked me if Tiffany's ever made good on their promise, nope, they haven't! Now I understand why many companies are going out of business. They were very friendly when we were in the store with money to spend, but not helpful at all when a problem arises! We drove nearly 4 hours to the store to purchase this Valentine's gift and almost ANOTHER 4 hours back home. It is entirely to far to drive to speak with someone in person when a phone call should suffice. Horrible , horrible...
Read moreI'm not sure how another review talked about inferior service - I cannot remember a time where I have received better service than here. Even though I did not make a purchase at first - and a fairly small one later - the people who work here are just fantastic and genuine. The length to which Paula explained the engraving options and the time she took to answer my questions blew me away. I had no idea Tiffany was able to do half the things she offered. She clearly knows what she is doing and treated me with great respect and kindness. I felt special and listened to the way you so rarely experience it anymore these days. Especially Paula and Favian made my experience second to none and went above and beyond for my small order of an engraved charm for my bracelet. You sometimes wonder if you should pay the extra to go to Tiffanys, and sometimes you think you save yourself time and energy by shopping online - but let me tell you the service you get makes everything worth while. You receive attention, kindness from someone that can truly consult you. Do yourself a favor and take advantage of this store if you can get there. Ask for Paula and give her the opportunity to give you her full attention and her...
