Simply put, it was a perfect event for us!! Tammy hosted a surprise party of 6 people for my husband's Birthday. My husband's comment was, "it was the best Birthday I've ever had"! Her Green Kitchen space was perfect! The ambience was just right. She provided me with a few options to choose from based on my husband's food preferences, and I decided on the Pork Tenderloin, Lemon Risotto and Shaved Brussel Sprouts, "yummy". Everyone raved about how much fun they had participating in preparing the dishes and how good the food was. Tammy was not only the perfect Chef, she was also a very warm and hospitable Chef! She had everything ready for our event and provided excellent instructions and tips on preparing the foods for our meal. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about Chef Tammy Brawley, Executive Chef and Owner of The Green Kitchen. Chef Tammy agreed to cater our recent wedding event which was not your traditional wedding reception. We decided instead to have a Kentucky Derby Party. Chef Tammy was right onboard with us and provided excellent recommendations for our theme-based menu which included appetizers and a full menu of Kentucky Derby Classics and deserts. Our guests were beyond impressed and enjoyed every item on the menu. The mini-hot browns, chive biscuits with pimento cheese, banana pudding, derby pies, and scotch eggs were particular favorites. I worked with Chef Tammy to host a birthday/retirement party for 12 in her Green Kitchen space on 25h Street. Everyone who attended has spoken to me in the two weeks after the dinner to say how good the food was, what a neat space it was, and what an interesting and fun evening it was. I opted for a dinner in which the appetizer course was a demonstration and Tammy involved the birthday boy in that. It was a very interactive and fun experience! We provided the wine (you can't bring in hard liquor because of her licensing) but Tammy provided everything else.
