This was the second time I placed a to go order and had to wait 40 minutes because It was wrong. The first time the manager fixed It with no issues and told me what to do next time to ensure It would be correct and I wouldn’t have to wait again. I called again for the same order and spoke to the nasty hostess who by the way was right there when i was given the instructions from the manager. I told her who that I placed the order when she was there the other day and what I wanted to order and how It should be cooked. I placed my order at 12:29 and gave them plenty of time (It was just 6 wings). I get there at 1:15 and my food is not right. I say something to her and she takes the food back. Comes back and doesn’t say anything so after 20 minutes I stand up to ask her for an update and she’s on the phone and walks away slowly to ignore me and is gone for 30 minutes. For 30 minutes no one is at the front?????!!!! That is unacceptable. During this time another couple comes in and someone from the bar has to come over to seat them. I then call from my phone and she answers from wherever she was and at that time I informed her that I was still waiting and asked to speak to a manager. She says let me transfer you. 5 minutes later the both come walking from the back and he has a full blown attitude. He proceeds to tell me that if I want my food well done It takes time. I had to fill him in and let him know 1. I’m well aware that is why I placed my order at 12:29 and at this point it’s 2:15. 2. I informed the hostess who was here when the other manage gave specific instructions on how to place the order when I called yesterday ( she tried to be real cute and combative adding she didn’t work yesterday and laughed before saying It must have been the day before) either way she knew what i was taking about and knew what i was ordering.
The Manager could care less and act as if I was bothering him. Did not acknowledge my frustration of having to wait an extra hour for a to go order that was called in way ahead of time. He just kept saying is there anything else. I was not nasty or rude although I should have been. I asked for the owners contact information or corporates phone number. He said I would just have to call the restaurant and try to catch them and they are all independently owned. I said well good to know because Stoney point will no longer have to worry about my weekly business. It also didn’t take long to learn the staff act that way because of the leaders. If you are accustomed to a certain standard or dining and customer service stay away because this is not the place you...

I’ve been to Latitude Seafood three times now, and each visit has left me feeling underwhelmed. The third visit was the most promising, mostly because the manager made a genuine effort to check in on our group in the event space. Still, several frustrating issues stood out—especially in how they handle group events and food service flow.
Most notably, during this visit, the gentleman hosting a private event wasn’t allowed to begin setting up the room he had reserved until over half of his party had arrived. So 13 of us were left crowding the front, waiting awkwardly, while he was unable to prepare. That kind of policy just doesn’t make sense—especially when you’re paying for a reserved space. It’s unnecessarily rigid and doesn’t show consideration for hosts trying to stay organized.
Now onto the food: While the flavors are generally solid, the temperature has consistently been a letdown. Seafood should be served hot—especially at this price point—but each time I’ve visited, my meal has arrived lukewarm at best. It seems the kitchen holds orders so that everyone at a large table gets their food at once, but that approach backfires. Some plates sit too long, others get rushed, and quality suffers across the board.
A more efficient system would improve the experience dramatically. Here’s a suggestion: stagger large party orders in small waves—start with six at a time, beginning with the furthest table. Use a digital tablet or mobile ordering system that sends tickets directly to the kitchen. This way, while one set of meals is being prepped, servers can move on to drink orders for the next group. It would help keep food hot, guests happy, and the kitchen flowing.
The stuffed flounder was mushy, the jumbo shrimp had a rubbery texture, and while the Brussels sprouts were well seasoned, quality was inconsistent. One of our guests had a reaction—likely due to underwashed produce.
The best part of this location is the event room, which does have potential. But the dining experience overall lacks the polish it aims for. The ambiance feels like it’s trying to be upscale, but the dress code and noise level say Red Lobster.
Unless you’re attending a company function here, I’d say check it out for yourself, but temper expectations.
Latitude has potential, but until the service flow, temperature control, and guest coordination improve, it’s hard to recommend as a go-to...
Read moreThis was my first time dining here. I was celebrating my girlfriend's 53rd birthday here. To start, the location of this establishment was nicely nestled in Stony Point Fashion Park, which is tight off of interstate 95. The highway is easily accessible upon leaving as well. That's a positive regardless of north or southbound.
Upon entering, there's a concierge station where you check in for seating. If you're with a party, you'll be asked to wait till more of your party shows up before they'll seat you. I'm always early, so it took about 10 or so minutes to be seated. It's drafty by the door, so I felt a bit chilly. Our table was hiding by the wall, so it made for a cramped situation. It was about 10 of us together, including an infant.
We waited to order until everyone was seated. Positive note, since we gathered at 1 p.m., we were able to get quite a few happy hour options, so that was nice. Our waitress was pretty knowledgeable and helpful. I preferred the plastic ware due to the silverware looking sketchy. I didn't want to chance it, especially with Covid and illnesses on the rise.
The food was pricey for the serving size but decent enough not to complain or feel hungry afterward. The crab cakes are smaller than pregerred for the price. I got the jerk chicken and shrimp, which appeased my pallet greatly. I also ordered the Latitude Juice, which I couldn't tell if alcohol was in it or not, but it was sweet, so I drank it anyway. They already included a 20% gratuity on every check, so that wasn't a negotiable at all. Thankful our waitress was decent, so I feel that she deserved it.
It was a bit drafty where we sat, so it made it a bit uncomfortable. Floors were sticky, so that made me uncomfortable. The ambiance wasn't warm but more cold and hard. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it could've been a bit better, especially due to the location and prices. You'll have higher expectations when you're paying more than average prices for your meal. I'll advise a warmer feel, and maybe 5 it's not so chilly inside, especially during winter months. I would say try it out and form your own opinions. I hope this...
