Once Upon A Dress — Local services in Ridgeland

If I could give this store zero stars I would. I went there on a Tuesday to look for a dress and I found a dress which fit like a glove. I was suppose to come back that Thursday for alterations if any were needed, but I knew I didn't need any because the dress I tried on on Tuesday fit perfectly. On Thursday I come back and try the dress on again and I notice that it did not fit me like it did on Tuesday due to the dress being a different size. I told them about the size mistake and instead of them telling me that they sold my dress, they kept telling me they could alter it to fit like the small. I finally go to the back so the lady can alter my dress as she continually pokes me and makes comments such as saying my friend would look like a slut if she got her dress hemmed any shorter when the dress was to her knees. My problem was that I had already paid a good amount to make sure that I got that exact dress in that exact size and that nobody bought it/rented it. I asked if they could lower the price since they made a mistake and the owner stuck her head out and asked "What mistake?" in a condescending tone. As I am on the phone in the dressing room discussing the situation to my mother, I referred to the owner as the manager. She opens the curtains as to my dressing room as I am changing and says, "Correction, I'm the owner" once again in a condescending tone. Shortly, she comes back to tell me to get out of her dress and to leave her store. I was baffled by the way I had just been treated and I no longer wanted to be surrounded by such a rude person, so I left. While I am outside, she stops my friend who is white (and it is sad that I even have to mention race and make this situation about race) and tells her that she knows the difference between right and wrong talking about her decision of being friends with me because I am black. On that note, not only is the owner rude, but she is racist also. If you want to give your money to a "business" run by such a person then be it, but I'm just giving you a heads up of what type of person your money...

Worst customer service ever !!!! We were in your store on Saturday , and we were not ask to be helped by not one single person . There were at least 3 young girls and one older lady working that day. Noone offered there assistance or ask if we needed help. They just stood around and looked at us . The older lady walked around me several times and ignored me. Never spoke to me or my husband . There was another customer trying on dresses and they made sure to assist her. They pulled the dresses for her to try on, assisted her with fitting, and made sugestions of things she would like, all while my daughter had to pull her own dresses and my other daughter had to assist her with trying them on. Because we were treated this way , we would never give you our business or recommend to anyone. Yall were so rude ! But from reading your reviews , this isn't the first time . And I'm sure not the last ! But don't worry it...

Since arriving to the store, we did not receive any help. There were two other shoppers and all of the workers helped them. The other shoppers were of the same race as them, not calling them racist but they were very nice to their own race. We ask for help multiple times for help, asking “what color this dress comes in “ and etc. I had to put clips on my friends dresses so that they will look good on her as she was trying them on; they saw me trying to fix my friend’s dress and continued to not help.
