Just to let you know, this will be a very detailed review.
I came here with my wife on recommendation on April 24th 2022 at 2 pm and there were only two other groups there at the restaurant with me. One group had two adults and two kids, and the other just two adults. Just setting the Scene so you get a better understanding of my review. I am not speaking for all locations but this one is TERRIBLE. Now I want to be clear that the food and service is terrible. In terms of the service, the attitude of the server, and I say server because there was only one person at the register and she was distributing the food, was very nice.
This restaurant has a terrible set up for ordering food. It has starters, pizza, desserts, pastas and such. For a menu like that, you should have a server taking orders at the table, not at a register. We ordered the BBQ nachos, the garlic bread, a medium custom thin crust veggie and a regular medium hot chick pizza. For the amount of money they charge, they didn't even have everything on their menu. If you offer something anymore or choose not to have an option that the other locations offer, take it off your online menu. One of the things they said they didn't have anymore was pesto sauce base, which is one of the reasons I chose this restaurant as it is a favorite of my wife's.
When we were ordering at the register, is a terrible set up for this type of restaurant because what I feared would happen with our food actually did happen. in my request for our food order, I asked them to please bring out the bread sticks and nachos as soon as they were ready, and then to please bring out the pizza a little later. That is how starters and the main course works at any restaurant, so the food can be enjoyed hot and fresh. That is not what happened. Almost 25 to 30 min later, they brought all the food out at once.
Because they waited to bring everything out at one time, instead of bring it as it was ready, the garlic bread and nachos came out cold. The Garlic bread was basically a bread sticks with a little bit of parmesan and Italian seasoning. No garlic at all. I don't even know why that was in the name. The marinara sauce that comes with it is a bit bland as well. Definitely can benefit from some additional seasoning. The Nachos came out cold, soggy, and was difficult to eat. Chips were like the Mexican chips you get at a sit down type restaurant. You can tell they were sitting there for a while because the chips were all soggy from sitting in the cheese sauce. Also the shredded pork for the nachos was just one big piece of pork. Shredded pork for nachos should break apart easy, but I hat to CUT into the entire plate with a fork and knife just to be able to eat at it. It was more like pork with BBQ sauce with a side of chips and cheese. Stilly soggy.
As for the pizza, my wife ordered a thin crust custom medium veggie pizza with mushrooms, black olives, green pepper, roasted red peppers, jalapenos, and some banana peppers. She really wanted that pesto base, but went with the marinara because they did not have it. I could tell when she ate it, she wasn't satisfied with it. And I say satisfied because she said there was not anything wrong with the pizza, but it was lacking in taste. That feeling you get when you you bite into some really good pizza.
I ordered the medium Hot chick pizza. To many things wrong with this one. This pizza missed all of its marks. The homemade ranch sauce base was barely there, making the pizza a bit dry, the pizza crust definitely needed to be cooked longer because it was very doughy, like it wasn't cooked long enough. There was also no buffalo sauce on the pizza. I ordered jalapeno and roasted garlic on the pizza as well, which helped add some flavor to an otherwise bland pizza
Cost was over $70 for these items. Will not be back here and will have to let my friends know as well. Sal and Mookies is a much much better dining experience with the same cost. I recommend anyone looking for a good experience to go there instead. Atleast until they address...
Read moreThe storefront is in the Trace station Strip Mall. The dining in option is counter service. The person who took our order was helpful and polite. The restaurant was thinly occupied at the time we went, but numerous tables had visible remnants of previous meals. Two co-workers stood near the cashier and seemingly made no effort to clean the restaurant the entire time we were there. We have experienced Lost Pizza Company in Oxford and had marvelous food experience. We have previously eaten take out from Lost Pizza at the Ridgeland location that was well received by all including fried ravioli, and various pizzas. Today we were less hungry and decided just to have appetizers including fried ravioli and the barbecue nachos. The fried ravioli were over done and nearly burnt across both orders. The barbecue nachos consisted of pulled pork, nachos, and Rotel cheese with barbecue sauce. Well the nachos were not my favorite form of nachos. They were tasty except for some parts of the pulled pork. I lack the words to describe it but something was off. Other than the initial delivery of the food, no one came to check on us or any of the other seated customers. This restaurant would do well to have on-site management...
Read moreFirst I can only really judge based on one delivery pizza so I cannot comment on any other aspects of the restaurant, we ordered the bbq pizza as the main pizza thick crust doordash delivered it fast and still hot, here’s what I expected to get, high quality pizza crust, with bbq sauce instead of red sauce cheddar and bbq with maybe some bbq spread over the top.
Here’s what I got, a Pizza Hut quality cheese pizza on thick sloppy crust, red sauce and mozzarella. On top of that pizza was a spread of bbq, a most minimal amount of cheddar and it had light bbq sauce on the top.
One word, it was basically a step up from gross, the red sauce and mozzarella cheese ruined it, I didn’t understand why this pizza should have even included these items, I only ate it because I was starving, a lot of the bbq meat had gotten over crispy in the oven as well.
That being said this is basically a review on that pizza, and the quality of their thick crust. They had others that could of been good but I’m not a fan of chicken on my pizza and almost every pizza had it as the meat.
The Caesar salad was good, it’s pretty hard to mess that up and the chocolate cheese cake desert pizza was decent to me, my...
