MacDade Bowl — Local services in Ridley Township

My recent visit to McDade Bowling Alley left me utterly disheartened and appalled by the blatant discrimination my daughter and I faced. As two black patrons, we were subjected to neglect and marginalization while witnessing preferential treatment towards white customers.

From the moment we entered, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. Despite our attempts to seek assistance, it was evident that the staff prioritized serving white patrons over us. Their dismissive attitude and selective service fueled a sense of exclusion, leaving us feeling invisible and invalidated.

Not only were we ignored, but witnessing the dismissive and rude behavior towards another group of black women only compounded our dismay. It's unfathomable that in this day and age, such overt acts of discrimination persist within establishments like McDade...

They upgraded to synthetic a while ago, and use a good oil pattern. The lanes are predictable and controllable. On Sunday mornings, though, they're really dry. But it's fun to play against the curve.

The lanes work well, also. Your ball is returned before the rack cycles. Balls don't get stuck often. When you do the Rent-a-Lane (which is half the cost of the other lanes nearby) you aren't wasting a lot of time staring at the hole waiting for the ball to come out.

Overall, prices are 50% less than the other alleys.

The leagues overlap quite a bit. A lot of people are on more than one, and everyone knows someone else. The owner and his daughter roll in the leagues, and are active at the alley in general, giving it a more comfortable vibe than the sterile florescent glare of the...

Very disappointing experience unexperienced staff clearly didn’t know how to repair their equipment. We spent more time waiting for them to try to repair the pin machines and ball returns that that kept failing. It happened so many times during our first game we ask for a refund half way through and were refused. So after the fourth time the equipment failed they moved us to another lane where the same equipment problems kept accruing. So again we ask for our money back so we could just leave and again they refused to refund our money and insisted we try yet another lane. At this point we were so annoyed by the situation we just left with pre paid games left to play. We will never return to this poorly run establishment nor will we recommend...
