I had the worst experience here! Will never go back. I took my daughter, her husband and my 4 young grandchildren for dinner during the holidays. We had a reservation for 4:30. When we arrived it was very busy I checked in and the hostess said to me we will seat you when we can. My grand children were hungry and were getting antsy, the baby was crying. We asked several times when our table would be ready kept getting same response about 20 minutes that is with a reservation!! The hostesses were young girls and quite miserable. I finally at 5:30 tracked down who I think was the manager and he apologized but gave me excuses of why we were not seated yet which were just excuses. I ordered my grand kids French fries to hold them over they took 25 minutes to come out. Finally at 5:30 after waiting an hour we decided to leave and go elsewhere.
They in my opinion were unwilling to turn down the reservations/money so they overbooked the restaurant and could not keep up with all the people there. I will never go back. If they were more sympathetic I may have been more understanding but my oldest grandson heard one of the hostesses make a rude comment behind my back when I asked 45 minutes into waiting when our table would be ready. We were not the only ones who left without being seated. The manager clearly does not know how to efficiently run a restaurant and it showed. They truly seemed to have no clue and were completely overwhelmed. If that is what you see in the front part of the restaurant, imagine what the kitchen is like. Ewwwww I could only guess. Read moreI've waited to write a review because I emailed the restaurant about my experience and wanted to see if they would respond. It's been 3 weeks and nothing. I wont be back and I'll be sure to share my experience with as many ppl as possible. This was my first time visiting since the business changed ownership. We used to love hanging out with friends and family members when it was Barnaby's. My friend, husband and I decided to give it a try on a Monday night. We sat at the bar where there was a couple at the end of the bar, it took the bar maid at least 10 min to even acknowledge us. We ordered drinks and food, the food was average bar food. My problem was the guacamole, on the menu it states that it's made fresh. 1 scoop full and I immediately knew it was NOT fresh, I let my husband and friend try it and they didn't like it either. I asked the bar maid if it was REALLY made on site and she assured me it was. I have made guac at home and have been to plenty of mexican restaurants to know when I taste store bought guac. I sent it back and said I didn't like it, we continued on with our night. When we received the bill which was close to $200 the guac was on it and I asked for it to be taken off. I was informed no refunds, I asked for the manager and was informed the manager left for the night. So I emailed the restaurant and have not received any response. Needles to say, I will not return to this establishment. Customer service is extremely important to me and it's quite obvious the owners, management and staff have no regard for customers. Read moreI will never go here again. The waitress was sweet but that’s as far as it goes. I ordered the smoked bbq brisket. The brisket literally looked like it came from a frozen dinner and was heated up and sloppily plated. It was salty, had no color(besides this weird orange colored sauce and gravy) and no evidence of being smoked. The presentation was giving very much school lunch. Even worse, it wasn’t even hot. I was grossly disappointed, so I asked could half be taken off the entree cost and id be willing to pay for something else as well as the rest of the bill. The waitress was sweet but said she couldn’t so I asked for the manager.
Now for the manager…his attitude was condescending from the start. He seemed like his whole point was more to argue than to actually help. My friend spoke to how she’s a frequent customer(which is true) and how they accommodated her before in a similar instance(only once did she not like her food) . This guy says “well if you feel like you keep not liking stuff you don’t have to come back.” Woah ok 🙁Then goes on to imply that shes lying and doesn’t come weekly because he’s there. His reasoning for not giving a refund was because how it came was in the description when in fact there actually isn’t a description it just lists the contents. I argued that point and begrudgingly he agreed to take it off the bill. I didn’t appreciate being treated like a scum bag trying to get over when not only do we frequently spend money there but we get our friends to come too.
