Roma's is the Best! As 1 of the Last Mom & Pop Grocery Stores in the Area, I LOVE coming here! Not only does Chris Employ Kind, Attentive & Personable Staff, his Store's Prices are Beating out Grocery Store Chains! To boot, at Roma's you can get Hot Meals made to Order, as well as Order an array of Party Platters. Chris' Store Sells everything from Paper Products to Food to PreMade Options like Meatballs, Cheesesteak/Chicken Cheesesteak Meat, Fresh Rolls & Homemade Desserts.
I hesitate leaving this Fantastic Review, bc Roma's is a Gem, where the Wait Times are Short from Ordering your Deli needs to when you Checkout, but I'll put my Selfishness of keeping this Gem to myself aside (Haha!), bc Chris deserves the Exposure! He VERY easily could've increased Product Costs substantially across the Board, like a Majority of the Chain Stores have continued to do (even though they didn't have to) & even though some Things had to be Increased due to Inflation, he's tried to keep things as Affordable as Possible! Which is Appreciated by all of us who have been Hit Financially 1st by the Pandemic & again w/ Inflation... & rely on the Stability of Costs.
I have to Commend Chris, bc he's done Great Things w/ Roma's since he Purchased it, focusing on carrying enough Variety in the Store, that his Customers can find a Majority of the Products they need: a legitimate 1 Stop Shop!
My Only Suggestion to Chris, that I hope they'll Implement, would be to List Prices under all of the Products to make Shopping a little easier for those of us on a Budget... & I only say this, bc I Hate bothering Staff to inquire about the Costs of Things, if I need other Things beside Deli Items, but it's also Embarrassing no matter where you Shop to have to Remove Items you need when being rung up bc you can't Afford it. That way People can just Shop & keep Track of an Approximate Total BEFORE getting up to the Counter to Checkout.
Thanks again, Chris & Staff, for Making & Keeping Roma Deli an Awesome Place to Shop for all of our...
Read moreWhen the older gentleman ran this deli it was a cool old neighborhood friendly vibe. He was very into running his register and greeting the customers. At first when the young man took over it was a great upgrade, filled with fresh updates with keeping its charm. I really think the young guy got overwhelmed. I think business went up and quality went down. I’ve gone in there with the phones were ringing off the hook. One person was at the register, and everyone seem to be busy and ignoring anyone who is on the other side of the counter. They place to do read two registers in there both have credit card access both except EBT, and yet they only use one. Extremely busy one person at that register, and they would get overwhelmed with the business taking orders that no one else seems to want to do and they never knew the prices. Be careful on keeping an eye out on how much you’re spending in there I was charged $80 for a $40 order. I only caught it because I was paying attention to what I was spending. I don’t buy anything that they make. I try to few side salads didn’t like them they tasted soured. The staff is constantly changing. No one seems to know the real price. The people who are regulars there don’t wanna deal with the counter they want to be in the back making things. I often wonder how many times the owner has been ripped off by the persons working the counter because he really doesn’t give his attention to it. I think this place truly went quantity over quality and it’s just they’re just taking the money and running. Shame it’s...
Read moreI just moved to the area from across the country and had never been in Delco in my life (I'm from north NJ and NEPA). I spent the last 2 decades on the west coast and missed good delis, good sandwiches, good pizza, and good honest people. When I was looking for a new house, using online tools only, I saw on Google maps that this place was about a mile from the house I was bidding on and I was excited that it had such good ratings and was so close. Fast forward - I got the house, I've been here about 2.5 months and I LOVE Roma Deli.
Everything I had been missing is right here. The bread, cold cuts, and therefore the hoagies, are quality. The Roma Hoagie is not only delicious, but a bargain to boot. I picked up a Corropolese tomato pie last visit (I'm pretty unfamiliar with them, we were a NY style pizza family) and was dubious. I tried a small piece and about 5 minutes later desperately wanted another.
The deli has lots of salads, great cake slices, pretzels, cold cuts by the pound, pickles, frozen Italian foods, plus staples like soda, chips, tomatoes, garlic, and cheese. It's a great one stop shop for dinner supplies in addition to your...
