I try not to let things bother me especially coming from where I come from. But I’m standing at self check out listening to this associate with braids talk crap about me… never met this kid in my life and I have no clue who he is or why he was proceeding to do that. It was so out of left field even the associate he was talking to had no idea what he was talking about. Some of the employees there are pretty blatantly racist especially the ones on self check out. They’ll sit there and say have a good day to everybody who’s white but if you walk past them and you’re not white do not l expect to get greeted or a have a good day. Not only that I’ve lived in this area longer than the fresh grocer has been around, way longer. I shopped there when it was still Stop & Shop and for probably around 20 years I’ve been shopping here. They literally will follow you around the store if you’re not white, I’m there maybe two or three times a week every week and I get followed around the store every single week I find that kind of ridiculous. I had the kid with the braids today following me around. I’m like, what the hell is he following me around for? I’ve never given them any notion to be suspicious or anything like that I’ve shopped there plenty of times and there are a few nice Associates there but this kid in particular is rude as hell. I Literally watched this Kid say have a good day to everybody then I walk past him make eye contact and He gives me a dirty look like I don’t even know you what are you giving me a dirty look for? That’s pretty corny and I’m very vocal. So if it’s not racism then what is it? I’ve spent thousands of dollars since the fresh grocer opened here… about time these places accept the fact that it’s not only white collard shirts walking around. I usually don’t say anything but the fact that the kid with the braids went out of his way to be so rude and disrespectful I’m dropping the review about it. You really never know who the customer is so to treat anyone any different based on your personal opinion of how they look means retail isn’t for you. And if the fresh grocer condones this type of stuff then they need to check themselves. From now on I’m recording every single time I walk in there. I’ve gotten a nice girl or guy by self check out so they aren’t all simple minded about “change” or “differences” but this kid in particular is either racist or just downright rude and...

Read moreI’ll tell you what it’s nice to have a place back in Fieldstone Plaza. That said, I went to ShopRite and then hit this place for an item I forgot and it was about 30% more price wise, they’re supposed to be the same company. I saw seven dollars and change for a pint of blueberries and started laughing. For the most part, this really is still a last minute grocery store. The prices are high, even when compared to their own stores in different locations. and definitely check the price listed on the shelf versus what they charge. I found a lot of...
