NLX FITNESS — Local services in Rising Sun

Just to start, they most definitely do not deserve a 4.9 rating. My husband and I moved to MD last year and NLX was the closest gym that was near us (that we knew of at the moment). It’s an okay gym, there’s definitely judgy vibes and cliques there and also questionable equipment. The new gym equipment was definitely a factor on us leaving, the machines move when you use them and not like normal movement. The equipment completely moves your whole body while using it. The main reason why I give them a 2 star rating is because the new owner of the gym threatened to physically harm my cousin because he questioned him on what he said to his 17 y/o girlfriend. Literally was ready to throw hands on a kid that just graduated high school and was defending his girlfriend. Like really? And you’re the new owner? But this is the kicker. He said he would “unbanned” my cousin (funny thing is, it was the owner that did all the threatening and all of the aggressive actions and words) if he came to apologize to him, but absolutely refused to apologize to my 18 y/o cousin. I’m not from the East Coast but what kind of owner does that to their customers? So we figured we would put our money in a different family business that treats their customers like family and not thugs. This gym is the best I have been there for a few years now and the staff is friendly. You can make more friends there the equipment is clean the bathrooms are clean. And not to mention they try to keep their equipment up to date like if there is something wrong with the treadmills they will get it...
