Blurrberry Barbershop — Local services in River Oaks

This is not a place for a black man to get his haircut. I took my son here for the first time as we're new to the area and have been looking for a barber. He simply wanted his sides tapered and a ligning, he has an afro that he just wanted cleaned up. we ended up walking out of there with a mohawk because Anthony the barber was not willing to communicate that he did not either understand or was not able to do what was asked of him and then charged me $50 for a hairline that he sprayed on. once we got home and I washed my son's hair the lining was unfinished and the haircut was not nearly as sharp as he made it appear to be with the spray on hairline. My son is 11. Needless to say our search for a barber has not ended and we will not be returning to the shop. Although it is a nice shop and a nice environment the whole point of us going there was for the haircut which was unsatisfactory to say the least on top of paying $50 for a children's haircut...

These reviews aren’t who you are as a business. I’m glad I caught your side. Seems like a reasonable explanation, and a very honest one. I see you care about your business. That tells me you care about your customers, quality, and overall customer service. You got me, I’ll be scheduling soon for my next cut there. About a week and a half. I’ll set it up soon. This is the characteristics I look in businesses, especially the last two years. Customer service is fading away. I have been going to Blurrberry Barbershop for over a year now. That is the only barbershop I use. I came there because Maria, the sweet lady by the front door, made the move to Blurrberry. I have trusted Maria with my haircut for over 12 years now. I have never in my 51 years found someone I trust and enjoy more. I always look forward to seeing her and catching up. She is also great with my 2 year old son! I moved to Grandview, TX 4 years ago and still make the hour drive to see her. I’m glad she is now at Blurrberry. The shop is always clean and neat, and the staff are very friendly. It’s heartwarming to see a young business like Blurrberry grow and I always look forward to the improvements and decorative additions each time I come. I highly...
