I've been a frequent shopper at the Home Depot in Riverdale, NJ for some time now, and I can confidently say that this location has consistently provided a positive shopping experience, with a few notable highlights and minor areas for improvement.
Store Layout and Selection: The store is well-organized, and the layout makes it easy to find what you need, whether it's tools, hardware, gardening supplies, or home improvement items. They offer a vast selection of products, which is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. Whether you're tackling a large renovation project or just need a few items for a small DIY job, you'll likely find what you're looking for here. However, I've noticed that certain items are occasionally out of stock, which can be a bit frustrating. It’s understandable given the high demand, but it would be great if they could improve their inventory management to ensure those essential items are always available.
Parking: One of the best things about this Home Depot is the parking situation. The lot is enormous, so finding a spot is never an issue, even during peak hours. The convenience of ample parking really adds to the overall positive shopping experience and makes it easy to load up larger purchases.
Customer Service: The staff at this location truly make the difference. Every time I visit, I'm greeted with friendly smiles and a willingness to help. The employees are knowledgeable and eager to assist with any questions or concerns. I want to give a special shout-out to Ben, a staff member who went above and beyond during my recent visit. I was purchasing some moulding and needed it cut to a specific size. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the tools or the know-how to do it myself. Ben stepped in and offered to cut the moulding for me, which was an absolute lifesaver! His expertise and willingness to help are a testament to the excellent customer service at this location. Thank you, Ben, for your tremendous assistance—I appreciate it dearly!
Overall Experience: While there are minor hiccups, like the occasional out-of-stock item, the positives far outweigh them. The friendly and knowledgeable staff, convenient parking, and vast product selection make this Home Depot one of my go-to stores for all things home improvement. The extra help from employees like Ben really elevates the shopping experience. I highly recommend this Home Depot to anyone in the area looking for quality products and top-notch...
Read moreTL;DR Decent store and helpful staff during off hours. Avoid weekends because it gets way to busy. Go to the store or do in store pickup if you're getting certain items. Read below for why...
Inventory tracking, online orders, and delivery have consistently been a disaster. Stuff that shows up as in inventory and "pick up today" isn't always available today. For example, they had something like 1000 bags of salt in their inventory with over 500 available for pickup and delivery. I placed an order for 20 bags and was willing to pay the delivery fee since the order size was pretty big. They cut my order in half because they were too busy to get rest (I'm assuming it was in the pallets outside) and I still had to pay the whole delivery fee. So now I have to go there and pick up the remaining bags anyway or pay another delivery fee when I should have only paid a delivery fee once and not needed to go to the store. Additionally, when I have had other items delivery there is almost ways significant damage to them. I had a tool chest arrive dented up so bad that it doesn't close properly.
So when possible (e.g. you're not in rush), check the inventory taking it with a grain of salt, place an order for in store pickup, and then see if they actually can put your order together. When its ready and you pick it up make sure to inspect it for damage, missing items, etc... and reject it there if you have an...
Read moreI wish I could put no stars. We had the worst experience with this Home Depot. We ordered 17 windows. Out of the 17 windows, 1 was a planter window, which was going to take longer to make. We placed our order back in February 2022 and they were supposed to come in on the last week of April. They and up coming 3 weeks late. They had originally lost our shipment and didn’t know what truck it was on and where the truck was. Then they didn’t want to ship all the windows till the planter window was complete so that they didn’t have to do 2 shipments, meanwhile the planter window was not going to be ready till end of July. Finally after arguing with them they shipped all our windows except the planter window. End of July we called to see where our planter window was and Home Depot said they couldn’t find it and that we had to order it again. Now this window is not coming in till November. The service at this store is absolutely disgusting. No one wants to help. I kept getting the run around. And come to find out that they have lost more windows from other customers. So either someone is stealing windows or they have a poor system or maybe both. Never coming here again and please if you don’t want to go through what I’m going through and what other customers are going through don’t come here nor order...
