The store is clean and well stocked. Sale prices make the difference on making a purchase. Deli-salads made in the store have too many butt pieces of the lettuce hidden from sight in the package-the containers of rotisserie chicken salad list ingredients that aren't always in them, ie cranberries, nuts etc. Also cashiers are inconsistent in their demeanor, some are friendly and a pleasure to come in contact with, others make you feel like you are an inconvenience to them by being there. Some will place the bags in your cart and others will parcel out who they respond to. Should be consistent about customer service. The folks doing the stocking seem to be the real representatives of the store because they all positively acknowledge you as you pass them in the aisles. One important point, during the last ice storm, management did not take action on a potential suit provoking hazard concerning ice covering the entrance to the store from the parking lot which had an uphill slope which could've caused a slip and fall, either attempting to enter or when...

I was witness to a horrible incident at this food lion, this evening! A food lion employee was racing through the parking lot and almost hit a man with a baby in his arms!!!! He walked into the store and when he asked the manager if she was the manager, she replied, " Maybe", SARCASTICALLY!!! This is the problem with retail today.
