Just completed this spooky haunted house for the first time! I wanted to leave a detailed review for those who are scrolling for solid haunted houses that give you the best bang for your buck!
Overall, this was a fine experience. My friend and I purchased the fast pass, which was actually a good deal (way cheaper than all the other haunted houses in the area). We arrived exactly at 8:30pm on Halloween day (they opened at 8pm and had free parking).
Pros: All the workers were extremely fun, nice, and patient!
The course is easily accessible. It’s lit up well enough to navigate but not so bright so that you see the spooky characters beforehand.
The path has many moments that will make you jump! No one is going to follow or grab you. (Go ahead and splurge on the fast pass so you can go through the maze without others in front of you ruining it…or get there exactly on time).
Cons: If you’re a super horror fan, this won’t put the fear of God in you. However, it’s very fun! The path puts you in a “real horror film” feel.
You will more than likely go through the full path in 10-12 minutes, especially if you’re jumpy and speedy like me. So think about the amount of time you’re willing to wait outside for a quick experience.
There were a few missed opportunities. I won’t spoil it for you, but there are moments when you expect a scare, but there isn’t one. It’s not a big deal, but you’ll understand what I mean if you experience it.
Overall:
If you’re a casual haunted house goer, this was a nice spooky experience. It’s very family friendly. It’s also a nice experience with friends. Many bars and restaurants in the area close at 9pm-10pm, so if you’re trying to make a full night of it, you may need to plan something else in another area.
If you’re an extreme thrill seeker, this probably isn’t for you. However, if you’re caught off guard and looking for a last minute haunted house, this will still deliver on the fun.
Hope...

SPOILERS!!!
Deranged was completely different than all the haunts we visited this year. The main contrast is that it was outdoors, and no matter how hard an indoor facilities tries it cannot simulate the natural feel of a wooded trail. We loved that Deranged gave us a nostalgic feeling that big production haunts could not do. From the old theater to Lackluster and the VHS tapes, the ice cream truck, the phone-booth, and aged gas station. All of that gave us a blast from the past. We loved how certain themed areas had added smells for immersion. The smell of popcorn was our favorite. Naturally, we did not enjoy the smell of the sewer or gym rat, but understand the premise. All the actors did a fantastic job! Not to give away too much, but the Feeny’s Weenies jingle, the clown, Big Foot, and all the other actors were AMAZING! Deranged utilizes unique ways to engage the customer without having to use expensive animatronics and sometimes overused air blow guns. Overall, spacing between groups was sufficient, but the actors had amazing Awareness to stall a group that may be catching up. We laughed, we held our breaths, we survived, and we recommend trying...
Read moreI thought this haunted attraction was super cool! The lines were pretty long when we went, but thankfully they allow you to sit in your car and warm up after checking in and text you when they are ready for your group to enter the queue line.
The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is simply due to an interaction with one of the actors that I wasn’t too fond of. Prior to entering the haunted house, the employee does warn you that the actors may touch you, but you aren’t allowed to touch them. In my mind, I’m thinking it might be an actor brushing your shoulder lightly to scare you, or grazing your ankle. That’s fine. What I didn’t expect was for an actor to forcefully shove me. At one point due to the strobe lights, I was a little confused at which turn to take next along the path. Next thing I know, an actor put both of her hands on my back and pushed me pretty roughly towards the other direction. Not once, but twice. I didn’t appreciate that, nor did I think it added to the experience in a positive way. I’m not quite sure if this actor does this to every group, or if it coincidentally happened to me, but I would advise the owner to look into it. If she were to shove the wrong person like that, I have no doubts it could cause a physical altercation, which could’ve easily...
