This place is fantastic! Steve, the owner, is an absolute pleasure to work with—friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about watches. They have an impressive selection of used and vintage timepieces, and it’s the only Hampden watch Authorized Dealer I’ve ever come across in person.

From my very first visit, I knew I’d found my go-to watch shop. The way they treated my 6-year-old son, who’s just starting to develop a love for watches, was beyond amazing. I even bought him his very first watch here—a beautiful Citizen chronograph—at a price I couldn’t find anywhere else. He was thrilled, giving high fives to the staff and talking nonstop about how much he loved the store. It meant a lot to me to see him so excited and learning from real watch experts. Steve’s wife even took the time to teach him how to use the chronograph pushers to operate the stopwatch and flyback functions—something you just don’t get at a big-box retailer.

This is a true family-owned business with great vibes, and I’d much rather buy here than from a larger AD because I know my money supports real craftspeople. They also offer repair services and are booked over a month out—which to me is a clear sign of the trust people place in their work. I’ll be bringing my luxury watches here for service from now on.

I was referred to Steve by a mutual acquaintance. This was approximately four months ago. I have done tremendous amount of business with Second Hand Horology. I could only speak highly of their service and knowledge. I invest into high-end watches and keep them for my kin as an investment. I am very picky and selective on my watches and they have been very understanding and reasonable with my pickiness. I have picked up a few Rolexes, a Mont Blanc and an Antique Vacheron and Cosentino and many other worthwhile watches for investments. I bought a top condition Girard Perregaux watch from S H H - for transport to South Africa! it was sadly a bit damaged in shipping, and not working. . I reported this to Owner, and he very co-operatively agreed to pay for repairs locally for watch, although the damage was beyond his control - a MOST accommodating approach! I have just received back the watch, now perfectly fine, at a cost of $150. S H H promptly repaid me this amount , and without niggling - a most rewarding experience, which could have gone badly sour at such a distance . . it makes me very happy to buy from S H H again, knowing that my concerns will be willingly addressed!
