Very odd mix of customers, like people of Walmart at Pizza Ranch. Tables weren't clean, floors were DISGUSTING. The girl "cleaning" tables was literally just haphazardly wiping everything directly onto the floor & left it all there. ZERO staff smiles. Staff looked unprofessional. Staff was "cleaning up the salad bar area with bare hands & INSANELY long, fake nails; picking food of the edges & tossing them back into the food containers to be served to person. Staff was seriously just ridiculously casual. Could barely tell the difference between staff & customers. No dessert pizzas were coming out. Ice cream dispenser didn't work. Very little assortment. Tables all dirty. Kids touching food, well up & under the sneeze guard. Honestly tables & seats were just gross, in poor condition, and nobody trained that girl how to clean a table. Staff seemed stressed & unknowlege. The few food items I tried were actually pretty good. But couldn't eat from salad bar due to long nails staff person & unhygienic issues. The floor was like walking on duct tape with sticky side up...... with food and napkins scattered everywhere. Seating arrangements are just SUPER weird. Take down all those weird half walls, you're feeding people, not livestock. I'd actually like to visit a different Pizza Ranch to see if they all attract gross customers & if they are all so filthy. I was too disgusted to even look at the restroom. And it's August, why the heck were there Christmas tree decorations still up? Does Pizza Ranch always have Christmas decor...
Read moreOn our first and only visit there, I'll say this... the chicken was very moist, with nice, crispy skin. I couldn't get enough of it.
My only issue in regards to the chicken is, if you're going to have delicious chicken like that... at least give us a real hot sauce to enjoy it with. The only "hot" sauce available was Tabasco (which has no flavor, only heat) and buffalo sauce. C'mon man...
As for the so-called pizza, I tasted one slice and had no desire to have any more. Yuk!
The mashed potatoes and gravy were not too bad. The salad bar was decent, and the dessert pizza was nice. Other than that... I'd certainly pick up some chicken to-go, but I don't know if I'd want to dine-in again.
One of the previous reviewers mentioned that the staff looked miserable, maaaan are they right. One of the girls' cleaning tables looked like she was just sentenced 25 to life and was in the process of reevaluating her life's decisions. It made me wonder what the environment is really like behind the scenes.
I'm sure there are those who love Pizza Ranch, but as for my family... we'll take our chicken...
Read morePizza Ranch Roscoe has no shortage of customers. The problem with their success is that sometimes they can’t keep the buffet full-especially the chicken, which is so good that people are willing to wait. Recently, after checking 3x over 25 min. and finding the chicken bin empty, I became a little surly with one of the staff. Her name is Beth and she is the daughter of the owners. I give her 5/5 stars. She remained poised and pleasant to grouchy me and more patient customers. She kept working diligently, smiling, assuring us that we would get what we wanted and be satisfied. She apologized for the delays but NEVER whined or made excuses. I was very impressed with Beth as my attitude became less demanding and self centered. I was humbled by her personal and professional tactfulness. She humbled me without humiliating me. Soon the buffet was restocked and all was well. In fact she gave me a to-go box of chicken and a cookie. I apologized for my owliness. A pleasant answer turned a grouchy man into a humbled softie. Good job Beth. Good job...
