A little background and hope this helps other women going through postpartum anxiety and or depression:
I took over a 3 year hiatus from the gym and from being consistent with my workouts. I had 2 children within that timeframe and I had put my own health on the backburner to make sure my kids had what they needed and wanted.
But with postpartum and being a stay at home mom, I felt like I was missing something. I felt a piece of me disappeared, I felt a little depressed and CONSTANTLY fatigued. I looked forward to the times my boys would take their naps so I could nap too. I didn't feel comfortable in my own skin. I knew exactly what I needed to do, it was just really hard to actually do it--get back into being healthy again. That included exercise and proper nutrition. I had lost a lot of the baby weight already, but I knew I couldn't continue to eat the way I was and have leftover kids snacks for my meals and processed garbage. I needed to be sure I was fueling my body with healthy and whole nutritious food for my goals. I decided it was time to just stop making excuses and start doing something about it. I started dieting and exercising on my own, walking with the kids in the jogging stroller, tracking my meals in an app, weighing and measuring my food and I lost some weight.
I saw an advertisement for Station Athletics while scrolling on Facebook one day. It was an ad for a FREE 6 week challenge that consisted of workouts AND a diet plan!! Well, where do I sign up?! I was intrigued. I went in for a consultation with coach Dave and instantly felt welcomed. He sat with me and went over the plan and listened to my goals. I joined the challenge. And it was definitely a challenge but it was so FUN! I am brand new to the crossfit world so I was nervous but I was guided through this 6 week journey with the support of the awesome and motivating coaches AND the members. Coach Nast would be in contact with me and was always so supportive and helpful. I really appreciated it. It was nice to feel understood. I looked forward to my ME time and loved the feeling after a good workout (even if I had to modify exercises).
I surpassed my goal that was set for me at the consultation! I lost 17 lbs and 4 percent body fat within those 6 weeks and I now have more energy and feeling better emotionally. Since my second child has been born, I lost over 60 lbs and I have these awesome coaches and the other members to thank for being part of that.

I went to look at the gym and ask questions and I explained to them that I would be working out and going to work so it was important for me to have a place where I could shower and get changed. They told me that was no problem because they had mens and womans locker rooms just as any ordinary gym, but they did not let me see the locker rooms. When I went the first day I understood why they didn't let me see it. They have a mens and womens shared locker room that will only fit one person at a time! so after the workout you have to wait for others to take there showers and get changed in order to take a shower and get changed! The worst part is that they lied to me in order to get me to sign the contract. Not just that, they assured me that I would have a personal trainer who would call me and motivate me to go to the gym. That was another lie! Then, when I told them that this was not what I had signed up for they said too bad you have to pay us anyway even though I was never able to use the gym! When I refused to pay I received a letter from their lawyer saying that they would sue me and ruin my credit if I don't pay them 6 months gym time and a 150.00 cancellation fee!! I am currently seeking a lawyer to defend me and file a countersuit against them. Please be very wary of these people and their...

I work near this location and drive past it a few times a week and admit , I was curious but intimidated. So when this add showed up ,, I thought - could I actually do this?? Then i thought .. What do I have to lose ? Met with Mike and what can I say... He seemed to know where I was coming from and what i was looking for WITHOUT the hard sell ...So, what I heck I went for it! Honestly this reaffirmed my belief .. You really get out of it what you put into it . If you follow the diet and work outs - its absolutely doable! This is my last week and honestly - I am amazed . Down 13lbs and 5% body fat -these results from someone who has never dieted . Yayy me !!
