Below you will see a review I recently sent to Amazon regarding your terrible rebuilding of the iMac you shipped to me. I know it's not your fault that I spent almost three months in various health care facilities (no COVID), but clearly something was not done properly unless the 90-day warranty is deliberately set as the maximum length of time your product should last; anything longer, well good for the purchaser.
To Amazon: Early on there were so many apps that I transferred (or tried to transfer) from my 2008 iMac weren’t functional and there didn’t seem to be an alternative app on the 2019 iMac that I had just gotten. It’s all quite confusing to me, a person with limited technical skills. I am getting ready to take another shot at getting the apps I need moved to my “new” machine that has caused my internet connection to be a toss-up and (to top it off) the internal BlueTooth app has effectively died; it no longer recognizes any devices and I am forced to wire connect everything. Most of these issues did not happen overnight, so when I called the folks at PowerOn, the 90-day warranty had expired. Their agent suggested that I purchase an external BlueTooth app, but as I said above, I have limited tech skills, and cannot figure out how to get it (a thumb drive thing) to install. With regard to the attached pictures, note that someone modified the BT in January of 2020 and what you see in the other picture is the only thing I get: no list of devices, no ability to turn BT off, the only reason the keyboard is connected is that it is wired. Anyway, to my main point, I suggest you abandon PowerON as a source for rebuilt iMacs or anything else for...
Read moreI had issues with a product I paid for on Amazon. customer service was rude and unhelpful and I never even spoke to a real person from the company. They wanted me to use the warranty and they wouldn't let me return it before trying to get it fixed and I had to hear that from Amazon support... then come to find out my warranty doesn't cover anything at all.
That should t have been my problem. I am very upset with the company and my product and the service and just about everything to do with them. Never having been a customer with them before, it looked like I was getting a deal, but now it just feels like I got scammed. When I sent it in for the warranty repair Apple told me they wouldn't tell me what was wrong unless I paid to have it fixed first.
Over all, do not buy anything from this place or from their Amazon store!!!!!!!! If they would give me my money back and take the computer back and actually try to be a decent business...maybe I'll take this review down. But for now the people need to see the trash your customers receive. I hope no one else make the same...
Read moreI used PowerON as a customer via the Apple website. The shipping could not be more simple. I simply took my computer to FedEX and they handled everything - just like they said in the email quote.
I shipped my laptop on Feb 9 and received an email notification that they had received it on March 1 (14 business days). Once they had received the item, the audit was completed in 2 business days. I accepted the adjusted quote and within a few hours they were processing my gift card - I was told this usually takes between 24 and 48 hours and is sent electronically.
The only downfall was not knowing how long it would take for this whole process, with no clear indication on their website either.
The quote provided was very reasonable, and the reasons for adjusting the quote were common sense (faults with the laptop I had...
