Donuts were really good. Nice change from regular donuts. Half a dozen was like $18. Pretty pricey. Corn dogs were good. Got the potato, hot Cheetos, and crunch cereal half and half. The only one I would get again though is the potato. Got a Indian chai drink which was a little funky but still good. Also got the pineapple drink with green apple jelly and mini mochi. It was a tad too sweet for me. My biggest complaint is they need a new system for their corn dogs. I went at 10:30 am and the worker told me they changed their times for the availability of their corn dogs to 12:30 pm- 7:30 pm. Had to go back a second time in the same day. They don't take phone orders. They also can't take your order until the corn dogs are actually ready. Weird. I wish they would just have it available at the same time of their store hours. Also, when they did bring out my corn dog order they don't call you. They just walk straight back until the cashier is free to call you. Other than that service was really good and I...
Read moreFood: I’ve always loved Mochinut’s mochi donuts so there’s no surprise here that their food quality is worth 5 stars. I got caramel almond latte, delectable matcha, and biscoff this time. The biscoff was amazing!!! 2nd in my rank would be matcha, but that’s not to say that the caramel almond latte wasn’t equally as great. I wish they weren’t that good cause I just ate too much sugar lol. It’s also my first time trying their drinks and I got the strawberry cheesecake one. It was not a smoothie texture, it’s more of an iced drink. Surprisingly it wasn’t as sweet as I expected. It’s pretty much strawberry milk with cheesecake ice cream.
Service: cashier/person who prepared my food (Love) was really nice and informative. I had some questions and he was able to answer them well.
Atmoshpere: if you like cute cafes/restaurant then this is definitely a great place to hangout in with your friends. Plus they were playing some Rihanna!!! That’s an...
Read moreIf this review was for solely the mochinut donuts, I would give 4-5 stars.
However, the other items were very disappointing. I felt inclined to write this review to inform others of the less than mediocre sides.
Korean corn dog: potato+beef: while it was cooked very well and the beef dog was of somewhat high quality, the high amount of batter took away from the potato and beef flavors.
Cookie sandwich: by far the most disappointing, I have a pretty dainty effeminate hand (see picture) and this thing was laughably small for a cookie--much less a cookie sandwich. It is also not freshly baked and instead packed and preserved like a Twinkie. Tastes artificial like a Twinkie/ho ho as well.
Purple yam mochi ice cream: I waited the recommended time and it thawed well, however it was still very crystallized and freezer burnt. The mochi casing itself was also not chewy at all-- also possibly due to the freezer burning. Definitely would avoid the...
