The Great Skate — Local services in Roseville

My daughter had been skating here for 9 years we’ve supported this place even though it’s dead and outdated. I was in there today paid and sat down. Shortly I went back outside to get change for the machine and walked back in the little girl at the cashier window ran behind me and thought I didn’t pay so I turned around and looked at her and she realized I already paid then she went and told the manager I had an outside drink I guess because she felt stupid for stopping me. So a new manager I had never seen before a heavy set caucasian thing walked up to us with a trash can put it close to him and told him to throw his drink out and I asked her to ask the caucasian lady at the next table to throw her outside coffee away the manger said it’s just coffee she doesn’t have to so I said my son has just pop what’s the difference she then told me the difference is I don’t like your attitude u have to leave I said no I paid I’m not leaving she says I’ll give you your refund I said the drink is in the trash so why do I have to leave she tells me because of your attitude i told her my attitude comes from u sticking a trash can in my sons face and not asking the lady at the next table to throw her drink away as well. I told her she lost a loyal customer she says it’s ok we don’t need you. So just like that all the support I gave that place paid for parties there means nothing they don’t need my business that’s a slap in the face seeing it’s way better rinks but I always supported this one because it’s in my neighborhood but never again will I step foot in that raggedy...

This is probably the worse customer service I have ever experienced and I feel deeply harassed, From the moment I walked in there was a complete misunderstanding and the” Manager” ( black lady with short gray hair) and the larger African American woman with curly hair took it to the extreme, i understand they probably deal with a young rough crowd every weekend but i was not even given a chance. Before me and my family arrived, I called to ensure I would not need to pay for the 3 toddlers who did not and could not skate, as I was at the window I was communicating with the front desk employee paying admission I was informing her I had spoke with someone earlier and was told my 2 one year olds and 8month old child would be free as I paid for 2 other adults and a child, after barely making it through that issue conservatively this manager continued to follow and embarrass my family in front of a crowd of people and my children yelling and screaming about a refund and putting me and my children out when I asked what was the aggression for when all I was trying to get was clarification of the policy since I was told something different earlier when I called. The woman then continued yelling in front of my children about a refund she was threatening to give me and kick my family out after I tried to discontinue the conversation respectfully. I feel completely harassed and embarrassed and has been completely detoured from having my daughters birthday party there due to the lack of customer service and Great Skate Ability to understand and resolve issues in a...

Love this place! Used to come here when I was 12 years old now that I'm in my 20's I love coming here and making new memories with my husband. It was my husbands first time at this location, he really enjoyed being here. We skated early in the morning with little kids because we're not skating pros. Such a great atmosphere, everyone's friendly and very patient on helping you trying to learn to keep your balance and to be a better skater. The owner was so friendly and nice, we enjoyed chatting with him. The owner even gave us friendly tips on skating. We appreciated it, the tips really helped. The place has such a vintage vibe, and looks exactly as it did when I was younger. Made me smile the entire time I was there. I had so many great memories at great skate. The music is so upbeat and the price is cheap. It's a pretty big place, lots of room and space to have distance away from other skaters. They even offer skating lessons for those who need it. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! If you want a good time and want to just have innocent fun and feel like a kid again, please come here! I can't wait to come back when I'm in...
