I sent my child here for summer camp, before camp started I asked them to place my child with children in his age ranges, they felt 7 year old children should be with 11 and 12 year olds. I didn’t feel comfortable with that but they assured me the children will be properly supervised. Somehow my small child was attacked by a bigger child, while a camp counselor (who is a young girl) watched and did absolutely nothing. The program director Brandon told me “ she is inexperienced in dealing with these situations, she is timid and didn’t know what the right thing to do was.” He also informed me this was a problem they were having as far as kids having bullying situations which weren’t handled properly and that I was not the first person to complain and that was why they added a new teacher to assist with the kids. 1 teacher to 12 kids is ridiculous anyway. There is no way they can be watched properly but in this case supervision wasn’t the problem. The teacher stood there and WATCHED my baby be attacked. They have it on camera, and the child is still attending. Of course my child is not attending anymore and I would like to warn parents about the environment their children will be in. They have multiple young high school kids working as “teachers” for the program who have no children of their own and clearly no problem with letting kids bullying or assaulting other kids. For parents who don’t play about their kids, don’t do it....
Read moreThe staff is very prejudiced in working with communities of color organizations. We submitted a request upon them opening this center for diabetes management under the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid. They never reached out by email or phone. The head woman acted as if she did not want to even take my application request. I see events being held, but I do not see any collaboration with minority led entities. Indiana is one of the states that has the highest population of people in their state that is affected by diabetes. It can be FACT CHECK ✔️. However, they will not work with organizations that specialize in diabetes training and management through the government. They must do better for all communities in allowing this center to be utilized by more than a selected few. I wonder what Dean & Barbara would say to not everyone having usage in this center. Shame on the board of directors and...
Read moreWas at an event on May 10th. The food was stone cold. Only the mashed potatoes were warm. We had lake perch that when you touched it, was cool to the touch but when you bit into it, tasted like it just came out of the refrigerator. The macaroni and cheese was refrigerator cold. The green beans were horrible. They tasted like a salad like there was vinegar on them. And the roast beef was cool. The gravy was so thick and not warm at all. The fried chicken was lukewarm. Staff at our table were very nice. But the table next to us, the lady (server) continued to talk and laugh with the guest even when there were speakers addressing the guests. Loud enough to distract others...
