This new comic book store in Rossville is hands down one of my favorite places now. Walking in for the first time, is overstimulation in the best way. There’s so much to take in,rows of new editions, boxes of old comics to dig through, graphic novels, collectibles (not toys!), collectable cards behind the register ,tons of cosplay material, and of course the reason you would even visit , cute ass croc charms ! They even have supplies for model building and games. It’s honestly a dream for anyone who dabbles in the art of nerdiness
The owners are absolutely wonderful, though I can’t for the life of me remember their names. The guy has been so friendly both times I’ve been there. He stood there, genuinely listening as I excitedly explained my favorite comics—ones he just said he also loved. He didn’t roll his eyes once (which, let’s be honest, would’ve been fair) and even enthusiastically helped me track down the random stuff I was looking for. He joined in on this wild mission to figure out what characters were on these random stickers I picked up, which was appreciated.
The lady owner is just as lovely. She was so sweet while checking me out, even as I made a mess of paying (sorry about that!). We ended up talking about dead bugs which I am always thrilled to talk about !She never seemed annoyed, not even a little, and it made me feel really comfortable being there.
One of my favorite parts of the store is the layout. There’s this cozy seating area up front where I got to sit and watch my husband teach our kid how to play pinball on their Addams Family machine (Important life lessons). They have a space for tabletop games. I heard it’s open to beginners, which is awesome. My social anxiety usually keeps me from stuff like that, but even I felt tempted to jump in.
Overall, I just love this place. It’s not just a store—it’s somewhere you want to hang out. I’m so excited to keep coming back and watch it grow. It feels like it’s going to be such a positive spot for the community, and I’m thrilled to have it here.
How does this feel? Let me know if there’s anything...
Read moreMYTH and Fable is an absolute treasure trove for comic book lovers, gamers, and cosplayers. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere that reflects the passion and creativity of its friendly owners.
The selection is fantastic—shelves lined with comics, new and old, unique board games, and an impressive collection of vintage and new figurines that feel like a nostalgic walk through fandom history. But what really sets this place apart is their incredible cosplay section. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned con-goer, they’ve got you covered with high-quality crafting foam, specialty paints for costumes and body, and other must-have supplies that are often hard to find locally.
It’s clear that MYTH and Fable is more than just a shop—it’s a welcoming community hub for fans and creators. Can’t...
Read moreThis is a nice little comic book store that also offers a place to play games, they sell toys and cosplay/crafting materials, and they do classes teaching people how to make their own costumes. The store is clean and doesn't reek of B.O. and that's a plus, and the owners/staff are friendly and helpful. I've been to a lot of similar stores over the years and this store gave me the best overall experience out of all of them, I will actually return to this store and buy things from them because I hope they do well and I hope to see the shop stick around and prosper. Also the prices are fair and competitive, some prices are actually better than other stores around here so the fact that they don't try to gouge people to death like a lot of new small...
