Bad service, bad product, bad business.
I purchased a 2024 Bushwhacker 10HD from Princess Craft on May 23, 2024, for a military move across the country. They also installed a 7-way wiring harness on my tow vehicle. I scheduled a June 6–8 camping trip to test the setup for my son’s birthday. When I picked up the trailer from storage (I live on a military base), I found the trailer brakes weren’t connecting. I called the dealership—they told me to “Google it,” and said they'd Google it too and call me back. They never did.
Because I was told not to tow without working brakes, we canceled the trip, losing money on camping fees. I brought just my vehicle back (not the trailer, as it wasn’t safe to tow), and sure enough, due to poor installation, the wiring had slipped and melted shortly after the original install. I spent my son’s birthday dealing with repairs and lost hundreds of dollars.
June 26, I tried again to test the trailer before our move. I found out the AC didn’t work—again, lost time and camp fees. I contacted the dealership, explained I could only drop off the camper Sundays or Mondays due to work and distance. They refused after-hours drop-off or accommodation. I had to settle for July 9, but that wouldn’t work either. I reached out directly to the owner, PJ (only found via Facebook), and requested an earlier pickup. She didn’t reply, but someone eventually scheduled pickup for July 1 at 7am.
No one showed. No call. I contacted PJ again—pickup was rescheduled for July 2. I heard nothing until I followed up on July 5 and was told it hadn’t even been looked at. I was promised a diagnosis July 6—again, no communication. On July 7, I emailed again, stating I no longer trusted the camper or service and offered to sell it back. PJ responded with an apology and promised a diagnosis on July 9. My request to sell it back was ignored again.
On July 9, PJ finally reached out and offered to buy it back—but only the base price ($12,995), excluding taxes, fees, or the $600 wiring install. I accepted out of desperation. I was told the trailer would be fully repaired and functional if I changed my mind.
On July 11, I arrived to find paperwork prepared with the wrong refund amount—$12,600. I refused to sign until they corrected it. While waiting, I went to check the trailer, which had supposedly been repaired and running for 45 minutes. The AC was still broken.
At that point, I just wanted to be done. They corrected the check to $12,900, and also refunded the brake controller ($280), which I appreciated. But the entire experience was a financial loss, an emotional burden, and a huge stressor during a military move. I was taken advantage of, plain and simple.
Now, a year later, I’m on the other side of the country—and the wiring they installed has come loose again, and I’ll need to pay for repairs out of pocket.
Princess Craft may be friendly, but they do not care about your safety or your situation—only your...
Read moreWe have now done business with Princess Craft twice. After a lot of careful consideration, I feel the need to update my original 5 star review from 2018.
Our biggest complaints about Princess Craft are issues with the service department and communication, however, I would warn potential buyers about trading in your RV at this dealer. We purchased our second RV, a Lance, from this dealer last year in May 2020. We had gotten quotes from 2 other dealers near us on similar trailers and also quotes on the trade-in value for our original RV, a T@G. Princess Craft offered us the lowest for our trade-in and when we were on the phone discussing the details with the owner, she made a comment that the trade-in amount her salesman had offered us was “generous.” You may want to skip trading with this dealer if you want a decent amount for your trade-in. We ended up going with Princess Craft despite their low offer because they were the only dealer in the state with the specific Lance model we wanted at that time.
We made an appointment for warranty work on our Lance with Princess Craft in October 2020. We dropped the trailer off towards the end of October. We followed up with them over the next few months—we always had to call them, they did not keep us updated— trying to get status updates but we were always told that they were waiting on parts from Lance. Finally, we asked to pick up the trailer after Christmas and advised we would bring it back to Princess Craft once they actually received the parts. At the end of February 2021 (4 months later), we reached out to Lance to find out if they could speed the parts up. Lance told us that Princess Craft hadn’t ordered the parts for our trailer until mid December 2020, which means that our trailer had been sitting on their lot for about 6 weeks before they bothered to order parts to fix it, while they told us that Lance was holding things up. In that time, we were paying for RV storage, the bank note and missing out on camping. We sent all of this in an email to the owner, PJ, thinking she would have something to say, but we got no response from her.
Once Princess Craft received the parts, the last appointment was pretty quick, however they broke trim inside the trailer and used brown caulk to fix the grey wood trim they broke. Also, the repair they did was on the slide, which they had to remove. All around the outside of our slide is scratched, as if they set it face-down and slid it across concrete. They tried to use touch up paint on one scratch, but it wasn’t the right color. I’d also like to add that they returned our RV to us both times filthy. I wish I didn’t need to update my original review, but I can no longer recommend this dealer. They are very good at making videos and pod casts, and I’m sure that if you are a You Tuber, you will get stellar service. Just be aware that you might get treated...
Read moreI have no recourse but to give this review a one star because upon arriving at the dealer to finalize my Lance TT purchase, my TT was not ready. Even though I had set up the appointment with plenty of time. Then to make matters worst, My Lance TT was not even cleaned! I found the roof and Awnings with stains due to exposure to the weather and dirt. This is totally unacceptable on a brand new purchase for a vehicle costing over $45,000 dollars or any amount for that matter. This dealer is two hours away, each way, from my home so it is not like I can just swing by when I wanted to. I specifically picked this dealer because it was the nearest one to me and I totally trusted them from their presentations on you tube and website. My wife and I drove from the dealer on our way out to a planned vacation with the Lance TT and would you believe the rains came and we got leaks! Brand new and with leaks! How terrible is that? So much for ratings. I cannot excuse this, sorry. I don’t think that I am being harsh about it because any sensible person that spends this kind of money wouldn’t expect their vehicle to have leaks right out of the box.
So we had to cut our vacation short, I had to personally perform leak proofing the areas affected in order to stop the leaks. It so happens that we got hit with heavy rains for the short three weeks we were with the TT. Now our so called pride and joy Lance is sitting at the dealer awaiting “REPAIRS” when it is supposed to be a “NEW Unit”. The trailer was dropped a week ago today, I was informed that someone would call me with an update on the unit and as of today I have not heard anything other than this survey request.
I am not an angry customer, but I am dissatisfied with this purchase experience. I never expected for something like this to happen. I could understand if the unit had been used, but NEW? That does not fly with me.
I hope that who ever looks at this review from Princess Craft will really read it and will take the necessary steps to make sure the trailers are properly inspected, cleaned and prepared for delivery to the customers. That is what we, consumers, expect when we spend our money on the products we choose to buy.
Thus far this experience has not met my...
