Now here's a nice gem of a brewery in Round Rock.
I stopped off here after work because sometimes you just need to unwind before going out for burgers with some friends. That's right, I didnt eat pizza here. Not today anyway. I've been to pinthouse pizza many times. In fact, I've been to all 3 locations (tell me they only have 3 and not more......). Their pizza is really good, but today it was all about the beer.
I started off with the Mango face. To which I always like to say in an Australian accent "maybe the mango ate your baby!" Yes, I know its "dingo", but you see that's why it's funny. Because I'm not saying dingo....but it sounds a lot like it. Oh nevermind......back to the beer.... mango face is a gose which is a sour beer. Although it wasnt too sour. It was really good. Had a good mango flavor and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then I had the man o' war. Yep, I meant to order the port a steve, but I said man o' war instead. I just looked right up at the board where i thought my game plan that was all laid out, was, and I was off by mere inches. That's right. Man O' war was right below port a steve. I realize my mistake and the bartender is coming back with my beer. Oh well, no big deal. I've had man o' war before, and according to my untappd rating, I thought it was pretty good. So I take this delicious IPA and head back to my table. I look at my watch and realize I might be able to pull off having one more beer. I drink my Man o' war and look at my watch and I still have about 20-25 minutes before I need to leave, so i head up there, look at the board and without hesitation order the...........port a steve. That's right, I now have another gose that I havent tried before. This one is a passion fruit and guava gose. A little more sour than the last one and man is it good. I snap a pic, submit my untappd rating and sip away some more.
It's now time to go and I start to get up and an employee stops and offers to take my empty glass. Awesome! And every time we go to pinthouse we are always matched with the same great service. I look forward to going back and having the pizza along with some more beers that I hopefully...
Read moreAs a loyal patron of Pinthouse Brewery, it’s disheartening to witness recent changes in management that have negatively impacted the overall experience. While the beer and pizza remain top-notch, the departure of two exceptional bartenders without valid reasons raises concerns about the direction of the establishment under the new GM’s leadership.
For many, Pinthouse Brewery was more than just a place to enjoy great beer and food—it was a community hub where regulars formed connections with the staff and felt at home. However, the abrupt dismissal of two beloved bartenders has shattered this sense of camaraderie and loyalty.
It’s evident that the new GM’s decision-making has fallen short of expectations, as their actions have led to the loss of valued team members and left a sour taste in the mouths of loyal customers. Firing individuals simply for speaking up or voicing concerns is not only unjust but also reflects poorly on the integrity of the establishment.
As someone who frequented Pinthouse Brewery weekly, it’s disheartening to feel compelled to reconsider patronizing an establishment that condones such behavior from its management. Supporting businesses that prioritize the well-being and respect of their employees is paramount, and it’s clear that Pinthouse Brewery has faltered in this regard.
While the quality of the beer and pizza at Pinthouse Brewery remains exceptional, recent management decisions have left a stain on its reputation. As a loyal customer, I urge the establishment to reevaluate its management practices and strive to create a welcoming environment where both employees and patrons feel valued and respected. Until then, I, like many others, will be taking my business elsewhere in search of a more supportive and inclusive...
Read moreAh, mio amico! Pinthouse is a little slice of heaven, where the flavors dance like an Italian tarantella on a warm summer night.
As soon as I walked through the door, the atmosphere wrapped around me like a comforting embrace from my Nonna. The wooden tables and the warm lighting reminded me of the trattorias back in my village in Lazio. The aroma that floated through the air was like a sweet song, whispering promises of delicious bites and refreshing sips.
Now, let’s talk about the beer! Ah, the beer! At Pinthouse, they craft their own brews with such passion, it reminds me of how I would make my own wine from the grapes in the vineyard. I tasted a pale ale that was crisp and refreshing, with a hoppy finish that sang beautifully with the pizza I ordered.
Oh, the pizza! Mama mia! Thin crust, with just the right amount of char – it took me right back to a little pizzeria where I used to play with the dough. I had the Margherita, simple yet divine, with fresh basil. Each bite was like a love letter from the old country, with rich tomato sauce and gooey mozzarella that pulled and stretched like the memories of Italia. And definitely try the Honey Pear pizza. Trust me it is a taste of Sardinia and Sicily.
The service was as warm as the sun on a Tuscan afternoon. The staff treated me like family, always checking to see if I needed anything and sharing a laugh or two. It felt so at home, like sitting at the table with my cousins, swapping stories and enjoying life.
So, if you find yourself in Round Rock, do not hesitate to visit Pinthouse. It is an experience that warms the heart and fills the belly, a true homage to the art of good food and good company, just like beloved...
