I give 5 stars for Hopdoddy and the food, however, Tyrone M. gets 0 stars. My roommate and I have been going to the Round Rock Hopdoddy for a while now. We absolutely love going for the happy hour special and the service as well as food is always outstanding....minus today. We both felt the happy hour need and decided to come to the Round Rock location that we've come to love. Obviously, it gets a bit busy at the bar (we both are service industry and understand the struggle). There were two chairs at opposite ends of the bar but we felt it was no trouble waiting for a spot to open. I stood behind the one chair waiting for the seat beside us to open up when Tyrone came over to take my order. I asked for my drink and he promptly asked for my card. I told him that I was sitting at this spot and didn't want to close out. He immediately got very upset with me and told me he couldn't keep a tab open for me. I kindly stated that I had been to happy hour at the bar plenty of times and I never had to pay for each item as I ordered them before. His attitude got even worse and he argued back that he "didn't have the time to look for people and track them down to get their orders." I reiterated that I was in fact sitting there but was currently standing because the chair was squished between 2 people. He once again became upset and said he wasn't going to keep a tab open for me because it was "impossible" and "he didn't have time for this kind of stuff". I once again stated that I was, in fact, sitting there and I wanted to order more than a drink. My friend was going to sit down as well when the gentleman beside me got finished (he stayed for maybe 4 more minutes before leaving). Tyrone then snatched my card from my hand, threw it in the till, slammed the door closed and stormed off to make my drink. I was absolutely stunned at this point as all of my past experiences with Hopdoddy has been wonderful. My friend then joined me right as I noticed that Tyrone M. was now muttering under his breath about me as well as pointing very obviously towards us to his blonde coworker saying "deal with them". She then came over and tried to make everyone move down so that we could sit together. We had very clearly stated we weren't in a rush and would gladly wait for the man beside us to finish but she glared at us and walked away. We are both so incredibly disappointed by this experience. We love coming at least once a week/every other week to blow off some steam but today it was very clear we weren't welcomed by Tyrone M. I would understand a bad day but he was very pleasant with the regulars that were at the bar. Not really sure if we feel comfortable coming back if there's a chance Tyrone...

Read moreNot for vegans, even though they have some options. I saw their veggie burger (closest thing to a vegan burger) which comes with goat cheese and several dairy/mayo-based sauces. They charged me an extra $1.50 for the vegan cheese, even though I had to take out like 4 things to make it vegan (I pay more but get less? And why charge extra if I'm replacing one cheese with another?) Apparently they're also having issues with the wheat buns and can't get them to rise to a normal size, but they didn't mention that at first. So, to my surprise, I got a tiny little mini bun that doesn't cover half the patty. When I told the waiter that's not what I was expecting (I mean, look at it.. it was even smaller than in the picture), he gave me a weird look and said "yeah that's the wheat bun" like it's normal to chew your way around your burger until you reach the bite-size bun in the middle. So I paid more, and got even less. I then spoke with who I assume was the manager or someone in charge, who also began telling me the tales of the un-rising buns. I understand, I really do, and I feel bad for them, but why should I care as a customer? I just wanted to have lunch. If you can't provide a normal veggie burger, don't sell one. The manager was very impatient and didn't even let me finish my sentence. I said I didn't pay for that, and he just grabbed it and asked me what I wanted to do. I was very frustrated with the whole situation and just wanted to leave, but I was there with a friend and didn't want to ruin our lunch. The manager went looking for a bigger bun (was still small and also dry) and cancelled the charge, and eventually apologized for his behavior too after I called him out, which is why I gave 2 stars and not 1. I appreciated the effort, but wish I hadn't had to go through all of that for a vegan burger I paid $14 for (fries not...
