Checked in and got our stuff into the room then decided to go out in town for a bit. We left the hotel around 4:15 PM and went to eat and made it back to the hotel at about 8:10 PM. When we were in the room we noticed we had some valuable items had been taken. I checked the door for a sign of break in but there wasn't anything.
We went downstairs to inform the clerk and she told us there is nothing she could do. She couldn't look at the video because only the manager can do that. She said she called the manager. He wasn't going to come in and look at anything. She did say that someone could have asked for a key for our room and she could have given them a key. So my wife asked her if she would check ID and the clerk said that she only checked ID at check in.
So we called the police to file a report and they were very friendly and helpful.
After speaking with the police we decided to stay elsewhere. When telling the clerk we were leaving and asking for a refund, she said she couldn't give us a refund, only the manager could. Of course he is not there until the morning.
We stayed the night at another place close by much nicer.
We went back to speak with the manager in the morning and when we I ask for him by name, the morning clerk gives me attitude and questions me about everything. She finally does go outside to get him and he comes in and just asks us, "Would you like to check out?"!! What i want a refund for not staying in this hotel that either directly stole from me, or allowed someone to steal from me. He said that there was no evidence of someone breaking in to our room. I knew that already as someone had a key to get in. He said something about having to go check on something about the refund. He went back to the office and we never saw him again. The clerk went back there a couple of times and then came and asked for a number to call us at later as this will take him long to go through this process.
We did get a call later in the afternoon from the clerk telling us that they are looking at our case and it could be up to 48 hours if the decide go give us a refund or give us points. Points!!! To stay in this hotel again!! Ridiculous!!

Read moreTried calling this hotel May 18th and May 19th, over 16 minutes 4 times without an answer of even a message then someone picked up the phone and hung it up. I found out that the person on duty those days isn't a very good worker.
May 20, my wife called the desk at 11 pm asking for an extra pillow, lady at the desk said she was too busy checking in people to give us one. I said I would go down and pick it up. from the second floor, I walked over to the balcony and the desk agent was just standing there not doing anything. too busy to help us right?
Breakfast area was not maintained, lady there was more worried about tips by helping people carry their plates then supplying the food. Yogurt was empty both May 21 & 22. Bacon was empty May 21st, sausage May 22. Lady yelled into the kitchen for more, then when the cook p[laced it out the window(far from where it belonged) it was never placed correctly. Bread basket, I wanted an english muffin, the lady had just grabbed a loaf of bread and jammed it into the basket completely blocking the english muffins in the rear. I tried to explain it to her, no speak english! I showed her the problem by turning the basket around, she just turned it back and pointed at the bread.
Now lets talk about the maid service. May 21st. 9:45 Maid knocked on the door. I opened it and said we were leaving in 10 minutes and come back. We returned at 5pm, room hadn't been touched. We needed towels sheets and general touch up. My wife called the desk only to find out the maids had gone home. She complained and they sent a maid up with towels. I asked about the lack of service, no speak english! My wife went off about that, in spanish since she is from Peru.
I don't care where you are, if you have a job to do you better do it and understand how to communicate. This place is the only one I have ever had any...
Read moreMy family and I checked in on a Thursday. We were in Round Rock celebrating at Kalahari for our God sons birthday. When we checked in we asked for a late check out, and we were told we could get 1pm. by the women that checked us in(pictured). We also told the lady that we might get an additional night. She said well we can let her know in the morning she'd be back at 7am. So we arrived back to the hotel around 4am-ish. We told the young girl that we would like to stay another night. We asked what the rate was she said it would be the same which was $80 something dollars. We gave her our room number and after a couple minutes she said we were all set. So at 8 something in the morning we hear knocking and it's housekeeping. My wife answered they asked what time we'd be checking out and she told them we leave Saturday. Why are you disturbing us this early. Now my child is woken up and cranky. We get back to sleep and it's 11 something now and there's knocking again. I answer it's housekeeping again asking what time we'd be out and I told her tomorrow because we have the room for another night. She says ok and apologizes. Maybe 20 minutes later our phone rings. It's the front desk asking what time we were leaving and telling us we didn't actually have the room for another night. So we asked how much she the price was $150 now. So we told them we'd gather our stuff and be out soon. When we get down to the front desk to check out we explain everything and she just didn't seem remorseful at all and was very non chalant. Gave us a response like it was night audit and the young girl didn't know. If I'm ever back in this area I will not stay here the service is rubbish. I highly recommend staying elsewhere.
