I live in Rowlett and needed a watch battery for a diving watch since I'm headed on a trip to Cancun next week. I stopped in and the staff was very friendly. The guy said he would have to take my watch to another shop since the watch was sealed under pressure and he didn't have what he needed to replace the battery. Made sense so I said OK.My watch was functioning perfectly prior the the battery going dead. I picked up my watch today and on my way out I tried to reset the stop watch/chronograph and it zeros out on 6 seconds.... I tried it several times but couldn't get it to zero out on the 12 like it should. One of the guys noticed i was having trouble and tried it as well and couldn't get it to zero out properly. He handed the watch back to me and said, oh well. No offers to try and repair the watch or refund the $20 I spent to have them replace the battery and break my watch. To add insult to injury, I got home, went through the mail and found a Valpack coupon for a FREE WATCH BATTERY REPLACEMENT from the Rowlett Gold & Silver Exchange. I thought I found a good jeweler as I purchase jewelry for my wife several times a year. First and last time I will be in their shop. I have done business with Nasar's Jewelry in Firewheel Town Center for 10 years and learned a...
Read moreI went into Rowlett Gold and Silver Exchange to sell some gold scrap jewelry and had a great experience. Everything was totally transparent. They weighed and tested everything in front of me. I was well prepared, knew the total weight and value of each piece I took in, and how much I was expecting to get for all of it from a buyer like this. I walked out with a little more than what I was expecting. Such a smooth, pleasant experience and transaction. I converted some of the sale into some pure 24k gold (bar and coin) for an investment to hold.
Check here before you sell any gold scrap anywhere else. I previously went into another Gold and Silver Exchange in Rockwall TX that had good reviews, but Rowlett Gold and Silver Exchange gave me a much better deal (higher percentage) than the other place. They also do jewelry repair. I will certainly go back to Rowlett Gold and Silver Exchange, as I have more to sell and want to build a relationship...
Read moreI've been doing business with these guys since they moved to Rowlett. At first they were all gold/silver and coins. However, they have since moved into making their own line of jewelry and that takes up much of their store front. However, all you have to do is ask and they can show you their coins and bars. Armen, Allen, and John are all still there and do a great job of helping people get what they want. I do miss Mike who has since left. They cant please everyone, however I will tell you, they are good guys who run a fair business. I've also seen them in Canton and McKinney flea markets and always have a crowd shopping for their merchandise. Every now and then they have a BBQ outside for the community. My daughter is always wanting to go see the...
