I have been visiting Popeye's Chicken for over 15 years locally. I have visited over a dozen different locations throughout that time span. I will never go back to this location. For anyone that chooses this location, be sure to check your food for quality, check your order for accuracy. if you don't, you have been warned. they pretend to listen, they pretend to care, they pretend you are getting a typical experience, you will get something different. you will be disappointed and then feel let down. nothing I ordered was in the bag. nothing was as it should be.
Avoid this location. The employee that we experienced was beyond awful. When ordering at the intercom, he cut me off rudely as I had just begun to start my order. Pull up to the window and he hands me my food without our drinks. He wouldn't come back to the window and his attitude was like he was miserable and didn't want to be working. Pulled around and went inside and told him that we didn't get our drinks. Mind you, I was still trying to be nice to him because he seemed to be a bit aggressive with whatever was going on within himself. He just grabbed cups and slammed them down in front of me, didn't say a word and walked off. The other employee looked miserable as if she was not on the mood to be around the guy. She saw his actions and walked over to me to bring me some straws. I'd say I deserved it if I was being rude or mean to him, but I was just trying to order our food and go home without bs. The employee was a black guy with tattoos on his arms. I'd say his name, but he took the receipt I showed him to get our drinks. The food was good, but the service makes this place garbage.
And to the person who replied. This WAS a mobile order. He made me start telling him the order. So, to be clear from your response....you want me to just use the mobile order to avoid the bad customer service?? Negative. Your customer service needs to be good from All aspects. Not just mobile ordering. Because if you're employees are like that in one area, they're like that in all others as well. So why don't YOU start there and look for better professional employees, train better and manage better. You telling customers to just use the mobile app to avoid the worst customer service makes You the biggest part of the problem. Now I see why your employees act the way they do. So, here's a tip. Start with yourself...
Read moreI wish I could rate the food here but I can’t. In the 7 years I have lived in Rowlett I have tried on 5 different instances to order from here but have never been able to procure any food.
“Oh we’re out of chicken” “The fryer isn’t working” “We can’t take payment right now”
And then today I wait 15 minutes in the drive through line....staring blankly at the menu that still has the promotion for the 12 days of Christmas (Red flag- it’s almost February) and a whole section of the menu missing- just the backlighting visible.....to be finally told over the speaker “Welcome to Popeye’s, we’re offline right now.”
Nothing more. No “Sorry about that.” Nothing. Just dead silence and the expectation to go away.
...I find it really strange that on 5 occasions over 7 years not one time could I actually purchase a meal. My guess is employees are poorly managed and don’t feel like working so they purposely come up with excuses not to serve customers. If I was the franchise owner I would be livid. If I was corporate, I would want my name off this store. Corporate office should really do some “secret shopper” work and see how this place is run.
I suppose if the rude employees, the run down appearance of the store, neglect to even change signage and the constant excuses are any indication of how the food inside might be prepared....I’m guessing I dodged a bullet all 5 times. The food here probably isn’t up to Popeye’s standard even if you were able...
